Here ya go guys :D Bmw mini cooper 17x7 et48 and center bore of 56.1mm, vw is 57.1mm :( I have a plan...
-
Started cleaning the new wheels up a bit, can see the one id done. Anyone know what they are?
-
Collected some 17" alloys tonight with 2x new dunlop sp9000's and 2x part worn of the same. £240 quid...Dosn't sound a lot i know (although more than the car! ) but i think (hope) they will work very well :D Neil.
-
My red un with my black un (16v and G60 respectively) :D Red valver is looking a bit better now, and new rims are sorted soon. 8)
-
Aye.Same set up as G60/8 valvers. 8) Cheers chaps.
-
Remember reading about this when it happened...Gutting.
-
Jeah. Brrrrap, brrrrap behatches 8) Superb, cheers guys  So it reaches over to the head/rocker cover? Ill have a look next time im up there and stick a spade on it 8) Neil.
-
Gonna probably have a break from it now, its knackering me up being up there at every spare minute... So here is how it currently stands. Also found this stray wire, which ill pop a spade onto and reconnect to the fan over run switch.
-
How do chaps, Can someone please identify this stray wire i have? Its on the drivers side coming from the loom on the inner wing and its just hanging around...If someone could grab a pic of where it goes or explain it would be superb. Cheers,Neil. :)
-
Not enough... :| Neil.
-
Unfortunately there is no receipt or anything...so i don't really know mate :( Apparently unavailable from vw now though?! :pale:
-
Ahhh, et52 is more like it 8) There were some 15mm adapters floating about when they first appeared on the scene...Not sure if they are still available, but wider will be better anyway. Basically anything you add (the adapter width) will decrease the et. I ran et52 design 90's (all 8x16's) on my late style g60 (narrower track than vr6) with 25mm adapters all round. No catching and sat perfectly in the arches. Neil.
-
If they are et23 then im afraid they won't really fit with any type of adapter mate :( Adding adapters will decrease the offset, which is 35 as standard on standard width wheel. So they will really stick out of the arches with an et of 8 using a 15mm adapter. Neil. :)
-
Aye, thats what i would do mate...stick a known working sensor in, stick a new spade terminal on the wire and if that dosn't work, then work your way back from there. :) Just strange how swapping them didn't work though...Im trying to rack my brains remembering how it all works. Neil.
-
Im pretty sure its when you just disconnect the wire that the gauge will read max. Same as it does when the sender in the expansion tank is broken. It dosn't mean your gauge is knackered yet mate...Does your coolant light flash? It could be the wiring which isn't as simple as you think it would be as it works in conjunction with expansion tank sender. Neil.

Removed the radiator...Its leaking where the bracket sits. May look at having it repaired. Grabbed a pic of the rear seats now they are in, warning triangle and medical kit in there too! Had to drill the number plate screws to remove the plate... Removed front bumper to reveal the new crossmember! These are real bad for rusting. Bumper and front panel are a bit pinky... Came up alright though... All the nooks/crannies want doing now. Neil.
-
Red is actually my favouriye colour :D This is a response i posted on another forum about red paint... If you are polishing and its not coming up, then it needs a little paint correction...and then you can keep on top from there 8) Neil.
-
Ahhh, cool mate, glad you sorted it 8) Cambelt tensioner eh? good job you did sort it really! Neil.
-
 Thanks chaps... I was 1/2 born to modify, and 1/2 born to love standard minters like this... Removed the radiator earlier...Shame its leaking where the bracket holds it as the core is really tidy. :( Gonna see about having it fixed, see how much it is like. Tis very satisfying bringing it back to its former glory. 8) Neil. :)
-
Afraid i can't remember which colour wire it is mate  its years since ive been involved with valvers (apart from recent purchase) So process of elimination it is...What id do is replace the 3 sensors so you know they are good (not expensive) and go from there mate :) I could pop up to my unit tommorow where the valver is, and see which colour wire it is for ya if you want like? Neil.
-
Aye, the above pic is of a 2.0 16v :) One of the 3 single spade terminals as Dec says :) Just unplug them one by one (1 will make car cut out as it goes to ecu) Neil.
-
Cheers chaps, i was thinking of going for a pipewerx system, and actually thought about asking them to stick a flexi in there 8) Ive heard the range of back boxes isn't the best? I may try look out for a magnex back box (late var type hangers) and get the pipewerx center section, definately don't want it loud like... Dirtytorque, if you check out CorradoG60.com and click spec, all my current mods are listed there :) Neil.
-
Not much managed today... The rear bench got scrubbed, forgot pics of the back rests. From this: To this: And i minted some of the plastics and refitted them. Need a new gearknob, ive stuck my spare richbrook one out of the G60 in there for now. Neil.
-
Standard system except for a decat pipe, sounds really good anyway... Was one of the first modifications to the car,and my problem appeared quite a while afterwards iirc. The sytem is getting a bit tired now so i need to go for something new. Neil. :)
