No problems, but you are mad fitting a valver to your G60, Neil. And not meaning to be a pedant, (although by saying this I probably am) but the ABF is 236mm high , where as the KR and 9A are 220mm high, so a total of 16mm difference in block height. :dorky: (rods are 144mm in the KR/9A and 159mm in the ABF/2E (8v) :dorky: :dorky: :dorky: ) Aye, 16mm is indeed correct Stu, but i didn't want to be the pedant  Sloppy seconds pedant? Such a thing? So which exhaust manifold would be best both fitment and clearance wise? The original abf? kr? 9a? Neil. :)
-
What exhaust manifold would i need for an abf into G60 corrado? Im guessing just a 1,8 or 2.0 valver manifold (which one)? Would there be any problems with this? Neil.

My number plate...Its worth a few brake horse ya know and nobody never notices it! Not even the cops  It lets the sierra cossie intercooler do its thing 8)

Hi mate, I do indeed have a soft spot for it, and im at least glad that its still with you and being looked after :D Glad to hear that its still running strong too, if i remember rightly it had done around 65/70k miles when you bought it from us? Im currently on the look out for a standard corrado valver or a mk2 golf valver as a daily car because mine has become a little too much for everyday use...Especially as i can no longer drive on the main road from the house (gets stuck on the new speed bumps!) Neil. :)
-
Not that i recall mate, how come? Cheers Walesy, good call. :) Neil.
-
Seems this Rado is still on the road after a few checks...Anyone able to help with the whereabouts? Cheers,Neil.
-
Can i have some idea's of value please guys? :) Its got some pretty individual touches never seen on a corrado before, i have new wishbones with bushes/front top mounts/rear top mounts/tie rods/track rods on the way for it as i was just replacing them all as a matter of course. Its pretty much a finished project, only needs a couple of things finishing and that would be a propper 3 vdo gauge holder as i made a temporary one, fitting the nitrous kit if you so wish, and a new rear abs sensor needed, and a new drivers sun visor as the current one is half modified for something i never got around to doing, and the exhaust is blowing slightly. Neil.
-
Cool.Cheers mate, if its in the same condition and available for sale somewhere id love to buy it back! :D Neil.
-
Not sounding too promising then
-
Does anyone know the whereabouts of this early valver? It was my mums previously and was sold a couple years ago...I want to buy it back, it was a truly immaculate non sunroof model. 8) Neil. Neil.
-
Click - Stainless apparently too. Anyone got one? Or anyone have any thoughts on these? Seem cheap like... Neil.
-
At the moment the Corrado and my mk1...and my dads concours mk1. Ive recently sold my daily bmw 328i sport, and im looking for a standard corrado/golf valver to replace it :D Neil.
-
Struggling to remember tbh mate  Was definately the seperate ones that went back on though :D and more recently on my mates converted golf which we had the head off. That got the seperate ones too. Neil.
-
When i had the head off mine a couple years back, i was given the seperate (4) gaskets, and they went on fine mate :D They were in the full head set bought from gsf. Neil.

I can't even begin to say what a load of utter sh|te that is...and half the products out there these days
-
Yeah they tend to need only a little heat to wake them up, but nice progressive breaking which is good enough for me these days :D Yet to find out how well they last, how dusty they are etc obviously...but happy so far, esecially over the ones that 'dropped out' Neil.
-
Aye, im quite please people don't notice...especially the old bill  ! Found why my brakes were noisy, even though there was still some life left in them they had fallen to bits! Ive gone for some pagid fast road pads and i like em so far :D
-
Its the one on the right hand side of the fuel rail mate, connects to the fuel pressure switch 8) Today i found out why my brakes were noisy  Drivers side: Passenger side!!! Replaced them with pagid fast road pads which i like so far :D Neil.
-
rado-steve, Thanks for the speedy delivery of the front pads mate...Will be fitting them today (ill or not) Cheers mate. :) Neil.

Help, G60 not firing up *still not fixed, SNS chip faulty?*

Nice one :) Neil. -
2.0 16v runs well but then cuts out and wont idle

Aye, thats right 8) And im pretty sure one of them will still run to the ecu (which is sometimes a cause of no tickover) but im unsure which it is on the 9a's... Neil. -

Im having to think back to my valver days here but... Do you have 2 or 3 spade terminals on single pin sensors on the right hand side of the cylinder head? If you do just take note of which wire goes to which, and then swap them around to see if the problem dissapears. If i remember rightly the sensors are all the same part, so the wires can actually be swapped anyway. Neil. -
As title, Are the front top mounts the same between these models? I thought the G60 mounts were an upgrade for the valver, or is that only the case with golfs? Cheers,Neil.
-
Feck the image thing mate... :D I loved my 328i sport and wish i could have kept it :( Superb drivers cars, but a negative is the expense if diffs/rear axle problems occur. Parts can be gotten from the likes of gsf etc too, but obviously some parts are best to be genuine. Neil.

Aqua, buy a new fuel pressure hose from vw with new clips, about a tenner...As they split inside  and are a common replacement on our old g60's now. Today i discovered what all the brake noises were, jacked car up and wheel was tight to turn...Took caliper off and my brake pads (plenty meat on them) fell out in bits  :( Neil.
