We are possibly doing a Henny and actually installing it in the Private Car Park outside my Apartment. Depends on the availability of my mates garage and 2 post car lift. I hope it is as can then use Air Tools....... Air Tools are good!!!!!!

Not a clue at teh moment, never actually measured it!
-
It shouldnt really make a massive difference but I'm just not sure!
-
I'm not so sure about the design of it. I don't like it!

Got all exciting when working on the car over the weekend!!!!!!!
-
Well the work has begun. Engine is out and this weekend me and stevemac have been cleaning and painting all of the engine brackets and ancillaries. Have removed the majority of the old wiring loom wrap as it was coated in oil and dirt and was coming away looking a right mess. Then I have rewrapped the loom with Self Amalgamating tape and now looks supurb. Race Power are working on the engine. Darren has the Charger checking it over. Heres some pics so far. Ps. Next time you drain the coolant, check the 2 metal pipes that form some of the water system One is thin and runs to the heater matrix the other is fat and runs under the front of the engine bay by the power steering rack. Mine had alot of rust and build up inside, which can't be doing the water system many favours!!!! I'll post pics of them later.

timg60 Used a hairdryer to remove them and then cleaned the glue off with white spirit. Shaggsy Thanks Fella

I've just bought Magnecor for my G60 8.5mm competition wires. £66 from http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk

To be honest - and playing devils advocate bearing in mind I like the "enhanced" OEM style........... With a different style of tailpipe but keeping the twin twins so to speak, that car could and emphasis on the could, look alright when completed
-
I do appreciate why it was done and I'm definatly not knocking your setup or John Mitchells work as it is good. It's just I'm not convinced that it would make that much of a difference.

you really don't need to alter the slam panel or move the rad for the Audi RS Intercooler, it's a bit of a waste of time and effort and money!!!!!!!! I have mine in the same place and didn't need any of that!!!
-
The Golf G60 setup is also by far the cheapest even at £600!!! My Custom setup with a Polished Forge Intercooler sat low down in the Front vent of my RS4 Bumper set me back- with all the custom pipework, Red Silicone hoses and Oil Cooler came to over £1200!!!!!

Whats the total you have spent on your Corrado?
Blue_Joe replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
Not something I would ever care to add up! I'd only end up crying............ It's a HELL of alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Not very common at all!!!!! I had to talk VERY VERY nicely to the UK Sales Manager at Millie Miglia as the Cup 3's I wanted are not currently being made due to high demands on them from Car Manufacturers like Toyota wanting wheels for their cars. This is preventing them from doing hardly any after market wheels and when they are they are doing the more common wheels! As such the Cup 3's had huge back orders! I spoke very nicely to him and he arranged for a limited number to be made at the forge in Italy and then put me at the front of the queue! When they arrived in the country he even picked them off the pallet himself to get them sent direct to me instead of the Dealer i had to pay for them!!! We then had a major panic as the courier "misplaced" one! Millie Miglia's response was that if it wasn't founf there was nothing they could do as they couldn't get me another! Luckily it turned up 2 days later as someone at the sending depot forgot to load it!!!!!

Check how much brake fluid is in the resovior. Then get advise from the people who know more about brakes than me as I tried to install my Brembo Calipers upside down!
-
Henny You've put your name done to the W Mids RR day haven't you. I'm looking forward to this one and should be an interesting comparison between ou 2 cars as my engine is now at Race Power being done as we type!
-
Jay I'd love to get you to come and help me and Stevemac put my engine back together and back in the car, but alas with the cost of the rest of it all I don't think I could afford you!!!! phnar phnar!!!!

Hands up who owns a Black or Blue G60 with black interior?
Blue_Joe replied to juloesG60's topic in General Car Chat
I have a Flat Black G60 with a Black Leather Interior and Black Dash........... However I changed it from Grey. I must say that the all black does suit my car, but it's not standard in terms of looks of the car and also the front seats are porsche as opposed to corrado. I'm not sure if a standard C with a "normal" black cloth or leather interior would entirely suit -
I took it out and cleaned it with Vanish Oxyaction powder mixed with water with a sponge and tried not to get it to wet until I then threw water over it then used a strong piece of plastic to "squeegey" the water off again always going in the same direction to avoid getting lines of direction in it! Then I let it in direct sunlight to dry, but I did do it on a warm day though! However I also helped it along with the use of a hairdryer!

They are matching headlights off an early car as they are my old ones!!

Exactly what I was going to say, but I thought that was a little obvious!!!!  -
 Hardly the idea though
-
You say that but you can see from the golf that went round the corner that had alot of back end sliding that it was obviously a very slippy corner section. Could you really have held it all together????? :D :D

Different Head completely I think you'll find. It'll probably mount on but won't be up to much with the charger on it!
