I know there is somewhere in Birmingham that does them as 24V Renshaw bought his porsche seats off someone in birmingham that does it IIRC PM him and ask him where he got them from. I know roughly where they are but cant remember the name of the place!
-
No - The engine conversion I've gone for is retaining the 8v G60 head and making it big valve as it creates better torque than a 16VG60 conversion!
-
Are you non approving of induction kits darren????
-
Don't go 16V - You'll get all the extra bhp but lose all the torque!!!!! BHP at the expense of Torque is a waste of time as the Torque is where the power is.

I'm currently loving my new Daily Driver. Saab 9-3 Vector Sports Saloon in black with cream leather and the obligatory sound system upgrade!
-
Very diffcult to get hold of as Millie aren't making them at the moment. And yes I got a very good deal, mainly due to the fact that the actual dealer didn't do anything as I couldn't buy them direct from Millie but I did arrange the sale as I stated earlier and Millie sent the wheels direct to me, I just had to pay for them via a dealer so he just got the money and therefore did them cheap! We all love getting money for nothing - and the chips for free!!
-
Not heard of the make before but the price is ok, I paid £500 for mine brand new without tyres!
-
Not a big difference at all - actually if any. PS. I'm soon to be selling my SNS Stage 5.5 Chip as about to have a custom remap!
-
OH my god. u need to see this if you like engineering

Mint!!!!! -
You can get them from elsewhere - I think FK also do them but basically same price everywhere! What thickness you need all depends on the offset of the wheel! I bought wheels with the offset of et52 so I needed between 20 and 25mm spacers. With that sort of thickness you REALLY need the alloy ones as the Steel ones weigh a ton! If you get alloy ones make sure you get ones that are TUV approved such as the H&K;s
-
Same Amount about £250 in alloy. What thickness are you going to use. If they are only thin you could get away with steel ones but they are still heavy

Is it possible to chrome the spring tensioner????????
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
Well I'm going to pick up all my bolts from the chromers tomorrow so i'll take it to them then! Do you know how to strip down the tensioner so I can remove the spring as I doubt that it would be a good idea to chrome that. -

:offtopic1: I don't know what dealer that you use but every other dealer seems to be twice the price than the one you use!!!!!!! :offtopic1: -

Actually they are more like £100 as I looked into buying one buying one about a few months ago when I rebushed mine! But can I jsut say that this topic is entitled "Is it possible to chrome the spring tensioner????????" Not How do I rebush a spring tensioner. There are lots of threads on rebushing them! -

You cant just buy the bushes for them, you have to buy the complete tensioner at about £100 from the stealers. However you could do what I did and get poly bushes for a triumph cross member I think it was then have new metal inserts made at an engineering company, cost me about £30 IIRC and works a treat! See my members gallery post for all the info!!!! -
As above, hjas anyone done it?? Obviously not the spring, just wondering if it was possible??
-
Nope You can dye it with professional dyes, bananaman did his. But he's not on here anymore I don't think! However an ALL black interior I think could possibly be a little much!!!
-
Looks like the end seal could be leaking. Just had the same leak with mine. When was it last serviced. Get it down to G-werks

Jawel are very good! I just bought an Engine Stand from them. £40 for a stand that will take up to 1000lbs engine. They do normally do a smaller one for £25 but were out of stock so I took the big one!! Bonus for me is that they are only 10 mins from me. As for the rest of my tools I use Halfords Pro. I bought a massive set in the sale with 3 sizes of ratchets, ratchet spanners, full set of ordinary spanners, and massive set of attachements right through to star and alan key fitment must be 150 pieces for £100! Bargain!

It was a piss take as they keep clamping residents cars "if they don't have a note in the window and not in your allocated space then it will be clamped!" (Bearing in mind I have 2 cars so one has to stay in the general parking. So as a pisstake I originally put a not in the window from a roll of paper and made one the size of the window, but then felt I ought to tone it down a touch and made it just over A3 saying 'RESIDENTS CAR - DO NOT CLAMP!!!!
