I would love to help a Damsel in distress but Brum is a little too far to travel from!!!

Your best off on a budget getting a set of infinity components (separate speakers and tweeters) that will just directly replace the originals. Go to any reputable stereo shop and they should be able to hepl you out. As to head unit it's a case of finding one you like from a decent brand. They all have soooooooo many bells and whsitles that flashing lights that oyu need to really just pick one that suits you. In terms of if you can afford try to look at Alpine headunits if you can stretch your budget to one as they are high quality. They don't often have as many of the bells whistles and flashing lights but this I think is a good thing as they are far more geared to functionality and quality of sound. I'm sure if buying both from same place you may be able to use girlish charm and negiotate free fitting with a bit of eyelid fluttering!!!!

I'd say that was well and truely buggered!!!!! Find a Longlife custom exhaust dealer and get one of them fitted. Cost you about £350. But then thats also cheaper than most alternatives! But yes it is still alot.
-
Chargecooler is much more expensive, will cost upwards of £750! Again g-werks (g-man on here!) does them!
-
I call him MIP. As in Man In Pub - That man that if you did a shit he'd do two! My Custom Intercooler setup was expensive due to the fact I wanted it mounted low down in the front air duct in the RS4 bumper. It was about £400 for the Custom Forge Intercooler. Almost £200 for the Red Silicone Hosing and £400 for the custom pipework and fitting. Plus other little bits and pieces! And then £40 for the pipework to be polished. All in all just over a grand! However it would be cheaper to get the Golf G60 intercooler setup into the car infron of your radiator and no custom work needs to be done. Prbably cost you half of what I paid for mine, it's just I wanted something very particular for mine and that always costs alot more!
-
I have a friend that has a chargecooler that was built by darren at g-werks and claimis that it is better than an intercooler, but then he also claims 'mines faster than yours' even after on the same rolling road mine shows more bhp and torque. Generally he talks pap! (and doesn;t read this forum!)
-
At the same time as will be mapped using a rolling road! Along with all the other mods I have shsould make for a very interesting power output!

not sure as yet!

Well here I go again......... After long discussions with Henny (Cheers Fella!!!!) and Race Power Motorsport I'm on the spend again. Sometime next week the engine is coming out! Shipping it off to Race Power for a similar spec to Henny's however with a difference! They have now worked out how to go even bigger than 1940cc while retaining the oil squirters! So soon to be spec is....... Full rebuild and strengthen incluiding Bore out to 2Ltr Block JE Forged Pistons New Crank Big Valve Gas flowed Head (Hennys is just gas flowed!) 4 branch SS manifold and Inlet manifold port matched Fully balanced bottom end - phnar phnar!!!! 65mm Toothed pulley kit and lightened flywheel when they finally arrive! Going to make sure the engine bay is spot on while I'm in there!!! Once that is back and all in then it's going up to Chip Wizards in Manchester to have a full custom chip remap to gain the full power potential out of it!!! Should all be done and completed in about 3-4 weeks all being well and I can get it all done!

Oil cooler kits are about £80

So what is it???????

6 points for me after a stint on the M1 at speeds in excess of 125mph in my old rep wagon. Had my day in court and got away with just 6 points due to my job but a £500 fine and a solicitors bill of another £500. Very expensive day!
-
Intercooler everytime!!!! Far better than a chargecooler imo! Look at professional motorsports and the cars - do any of them use chargecoolers, not that I know of and they would always use the best. Charge coolers are usually used when you cant fit an intercooler iirc! Speak to g-man he'll tell you more

E38 has cost me dearly, and I didn't even make it there!!
Blue_Joe replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
Depends for what reason that they weren't working - really you should have had the old bill involved and they would check the rear lights if are traffic cops I believe as if you could prove they weren't working (with the help of the old bill) then it can be proved as not your fault. Still look into it you never know! -
Just went for a spin in the boss's 911

Thats the same with everyone in an auto for the first time when usually driving a manual. Trick is you dont use your left foot, you still use the same right foot for both pedals -
24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!

I think Biggerbigben was hinting for Jay to email the pics to him as I think Jay is keeping this under wraps until e38 -
Hmmmm I would say for a full retrim of a Corrado its going to be nearer the £1500 mark. Particularly if you speak to MJ Interiors that are well favoured on here. Also be without your car for 2 weeks! He probably gets it for that price as he gives them regular business. Also what sort of quality does he get for that, as he only has it done to resell I'm sure he's not too fussy over it as long as it bares up to initial inspection which it woul dif just been done. I looked at getting the full retrim done and I do think it is well worth it, the only reason I didn't is that the porsche leather came up at just the right time for me to go for that instead

AAArrrrgggghhh - Anyone help?? Headlights stopped working!!
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Engine Bay
Hmmm true didn't check the fuse in the uprated loom! Didn;t check the filaments as didn't expect both to go at exactly the same time, especially when they are brand new a few weeks ago when I fitted the angel eyes -
As it says in the title the dipped beam has stopped working on my headlights. The sidelights, fogs and full beam all work fine. The fuses are fine, and I've tried a switch from a Mk2 Golf GTI and still had the same problem!!! Any ideas???? This is just typical Pre-show problems that always seem to occur a few days before due to going to a show!!!

Oh bugger bugger bugger!!! Think i've been done

It's unl;ikely you'll be prosecuted as if it was a camera van that sits at the side of the road then they have to be stationary to get a reading. It wouldn't be a traffic car as they are high performance vehicles such as Volvo T5's or similar but not vans so therefore unlikely to have teh sort of video equipment to be able to use as evidence. And traffic or any other sort of police vehicle would [ull you over and issue you with either a fixed penalty or have to issue a notice of intended prosecution! If they didn't stop you, its not definate you got away with it but more than likely! Just use it as a bit of a warning -
Cool! Looks very nice! :salute:

Are these any different to the Cup3 turbo's that I have on my car, other than they are probably 8x17 as opposed to the 7.5x17 that mine are????
