  1. To replace with Lupo GTI wipers you replace the whole arms by buying to drivers arms kits which come with blades and then buy a passenger side wiper only. You fit the drivers arms to both sides then put the passenger side lupo blade on the drivers side of the corrado and drivers blade on the passenger side!!!! Both kits and the passenger blade will ocst just over £50 form the dealers!!!!!
  2. http://www.modworld.1st-hosting.co.uk/c ... 690adbcc36 This is the only place I have found so far!!!
  3. I picked up mine yesterday and they are definatly stainless steel and as I said in an earlier post are then handpolished. And my they look cracking!!!
  4. Me and Stevemac were having a look and there is no recess for the bearings in the top spring cop on the coilover. When you fit a VR6 top mount to springs and shocks on a G60 you have to replace the top spring cup so you have the recess for the bearing. I can't replace the top spring cup on the coilover
  5. Just fitted my FK Silverline X's (konigsports basically) My standard top mounts are poo and the VR6 top mounts won't fit on coilovers so I need to find some uprated top mounts quick smart. The only ones I know of are Bonraths Anyone know where I can get a set from quickly and not too expensive or also know of any other good uprated top mounts?????
  6. No the silverlines are a polished stainless steel version of highsport and the silverline X are a polished stainless steel version of the konigsport the stainless steel obviously eliminates the rusting of the dampers that eventually leads to the inability to adjust them!
  7. I've just bought a set of FK Silverline X (Konigsports made of Stainless Steel and then hand polished!!) Set me back a whopping £740!!! Fitting them today carpoid - should definatly go for the Konigsport as they are damper adjustable as well as height
  8. Smoothrite is without doubt the best finish!!!
  9. If your can clean your calipers up really well - ie right back to bare metal and can do without your car for a few days then use Hammerite Smoothrite as it gives the best colour and finish, but you need to put on about 3 coats with 12 hrs drying time between each to get a good finish. If you can't get that then go to your local boy racer store or halfords and get a brake caliper painting set that has a 2 pack epoxy paint but have all the wheels off at the same time as it drys up damn quick and if you take too long you get a pants finish!!!! This is the voice of experience, I've used both and the Smoothrite is far far better finish and colour!!!
  10. Did the little holes around the speakers match the location of the screws the factory speakers used? Perfectly!! Strange that!
  11. If your interested in the Lanzar Neo's they are on the Lanzar site here: http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?model=NEO46%2E1 SPECS Standard 4'' x 6'' Size Fits OEM Cut-Outs Special Blue Poly Injected Cone Non-Fatiguing Butyl Rubber Surround High Temperature Voice Coil High Density Neodymium Magnet 1” Titainium-Neo Tweeter Power Handling: 110 Watts RMS/220 Watts Peak Frequency Response: 85-20k Hz Impedance: 4 Ohms And are available from Car Audio Centre for £90. + £10 Delivery http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product ... duct=19259 I will vouch for there quality, simply excellent! Better RMS power handling than any others I have found so far and the sound quality is excellent. Obviously I use them for fill in sound in the rear not as full on pumping speakers as that is not what they are mean't for at this size. But the magnets are small meaning they fit in the limited space and no need to chop any plastic back.
  12. I'm using one of JMR's solid front engine mounts and I think it's supurb. It made very noticable differences.
  13. Will you be getting a box measured up for both sides?? I have 2 x 12" Infinity Perfect 12's that need 1cubic ft of air each in a sealed box and although I have built a complete enclosure I like the idea of the boxes at the sides. Also what are the implications of having subs facing each other? Are they going to end up affecting each other by firing sound directly at each other?
  14. I think it definatly would be, particularly if painting body colour. I just think it looks out of place as it is
  15. I like the comment made below that by taking his 1.6 Driver and putting a GTI Cam he got 380bhp. UTTER Balls! Unless I'm greatly mistaken but I would have thought this quite c**p "I have a 1.6 driver with the old gti cam in it and some subtle mods and its now kicking out around 380bhp."
  16. The only thing with trimming the plastic back is you cut away the strengthening ridges and this can start to lead to vibration in the panel and your speakers not performing the way they should. I looked at this before fitting my Lanzars when I purchased Infinitys. Just depends on what results you are after, I have a fairly major install in my car and didn't want to spoil it by cutting back the panels
  17. Sorry for my poor skills on paint but basically whaat I meant was the red areas. That way they could be blended in a little to the body work a little!!
  18. If I could make a suggestion. The only issue I have with these is that looking at this shot straight on It looks a little odd how the recess in the panel doesn't match up with the plate in fact they are basically mirrored. Would it not look more OE if they matched up as such.
  19. Sorry thought I posted the price. They were £100. They were quite pricey in comparison but they are fantastic quality and I would recommend them everytime!!!
  20. I bought an amazing set of 6x4's for my install. Lanzar Neo's - Perfect fit with no alteration and provide amazing fill in sound!
  21. I'm after an intercooler as soon as posible made by Forge but not Golf Rallye/G60 style. I'm after one to the same dimensions and fitting as an Audi RS2. Could this fit in on here??
  22. Hi All Well once again (this is getting all to often!!!) I've gone and spent another small fortune on my G60 by investing in some FK Silverline Plus Coilovers (Konigsports, but made of Stainless Steel!) Here's my question, it's been suggested I get some uprated top mounts as apparentkly coilovers chew through standard mounts at an alarming rate. Admittedly this sounds like a fairly good idea as I've replaced all but the rear axle mounts (to maintain the passive steering!) with poly bushes so seems like the next step. So any advice on what to get, price and where from?????
  23. No item 43 isn't what holds it on. There are 4 (I think its that many) small plastic nuts under the trim inside the boot that hold it on and also trim tape at the bottom of the plastic panel. Once you remove the 4 plastic nuts you need to carefully pull bak the panel and cut away the tape. But be really careful as it breaks so easy! possibly easier to pull off the old one and buy a new one to replace it with!
  24. There is a small linkage under the throttle body that has a plastic socket that clips into a ball pin on the lever that opens the boost inlet inside the throttle body. you need to pop off the socket and its on a thread that you can adjust to alter when boost enters the engine!
  25. I do believe that AMD do a rear brake conversion kit Lee. I'd suggest you give them a bell, the only thing is they are damn expensive I think.
