  1. It does twist in and out - Personally I would go and spend the £20 to get a piston rewind tool from your local motor factors. Doing it any other way is exceedingly hard work and you run the high risk of knackering the piston and then it's new calipers time!!!! The rear calipers are notoriously bad at seizing so spend the £20 on the right tool or it cousl be £100 for a new set of calipers :(
  2. Last year I got my Girlf a Polo 1.4SE from the auctions. Bargain and a half and an absolutely stonking motor. Met Green, Alloys, Cheap insurance and running costs and has been so far (touch wood) a superb car with not a spot of bother. Polo would be my first choice!
  3. You should see if it has a home number programmed into it. If it has ring it tell them you found a phone in the road and would like to return it (being a good samaritan). Then when he meets you scare the living daylights out of the little f**ker
  4.        One of those moments where I would have just loved to have been there!!!!!!! And one of those moments that will stick with you forever!!!!!
  5. Can anyone help me. I'm embarking on a project to build a boot install. I've bought all what I want to put in but am still struggling to design a great looking boot install. I am more than capable of actually building it but the design stage is proving harder than I was hoping. I am putting in 2x Infinity Perfect 12's powered by a JBL 601.1 Mono block. Then have a JBL PX300.4 Amp powering my components around the car but these aren't in the main boot space so not need to be thought about (5.25 MB Quart in front and Infinity 6x4 in parcel shelf supports) I also have a 2.4 Farad Power Cap, 0 Gauge Power and Earth Cables Ditribution Block etc. Is anyone out there a stereo installer or have experiance that can help me design this install in a bit of a hurry. All help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Well I've just bought 2 Infinity Perfect 12.1 subs. Can't believe I got such a bargain - they are £215 each just about everywhere!!! I paid £200 for both!!!!!!!! The owner of the shop realised he made a mistake but as I buy a fair bit from him he didn't move from his quote and I got his last 2 at a monster deal!!!!
  7. Is it second gear that you have trouble with??? It is likely the synchro mesh has collapsed and it is normally second gear that goes first! Thats exactly what happened to mine
  8. Will give them a call but don't need the speakers as already have MB Quart components.
  9. Such a gutter - I really need a set of door pods now!!!!! Wish I had gone on the group buy. Can't wait for another to come around as I need them next weekish!!!!!!!!

  11. I'd be up for a couple of G-Unit T-Shirts if they are like the ones in the first pic and good quality T_Shirts and printing!
  12. I used an excellent Powerflow dealer in the City Centre of Birmingham. The exhaust has been spot on from day one bar a few hanging probs but that was the car not the exhaust! I agree that there are a few poor powerflow dealers but get a good one and the exhaust is excellent. Fits perfectly - no knocking or rubbing like soo many of the magnexs and similar quite often do. I say hoorah for my powerflow but heed this they are loud so be prepared!
  13. You going for F# then? I think stevemac is aiming for a similar note to my powerflow dinkus - that would be F#ing LOUD :D :D :D
  14. As I understand it - You're not really loosing the boost as this is being vented off anyway but just back into the supercharger. When this is being vented off it is warm anyway and is not want you want going back into the charger. Hence the reason for removing the boost return.

    Juddering

It seems I need a new distributor then!!!!!
  16. No one seems to know what that lump of iron bloted to the G60 is. It seems not even VW know what it is. Someone I know asked senior engineers or something at VW and they hadn't a clue!!!!!

    Juddering

Can anyone please offer some advice. My G60 has started to judder at top end of revs and loses power. The effect effect is a little like when you are almost out of fuel and you put your foot down and it starts to pull away then judders like it's not getting enough fuel. Other than that it performs fine. Normally happens between 5000 & 6000 Revs. Any ideas????
  18. Tinted them using Foilatec spray and used 2.5mm body pinstripe to cover the reflective part of the indicators and reverse lights so they still shine brightly in there proper colours to keep Mr Police happy, yet still looks red and cool. Glad you like them Thanks Fella No major issues just slotted in as in the old bumper. Quite glad really as new fogs dont come cheap although will be replacing them soon but I prefer the vertical recessed design of the early lights over the flush angled look of the later!
  19. Go red. I've just posted a pic of mine done in red in here have a look http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 795#156795
  20. Well got the new bumper on! Also the new steering wheel which some of you have seen! and also the red rear lights! See what you all think. All the meshes are now in the grill but took the pics first. There are a touch blurry but will take some better ones soon. Couldn't seem to take a steady pic.
  21. Well guys I'm off shortly to pic up my Reiger RS4 bumper from the paintshop and get it on the car this afternoon. Can't wait as it's been sat without a bumper for the last week. Will post pics later!
