  1. Difficult to see, but this is the obsolete one, and it's holes fit perfectly, even for the raised lug
  2. This it's what I took off!! Now I'm confused
  3. I'm after the other side, 3A0 615 311 to go with this one. Apparently both of these are obsolete now
  4. The above fits. 3A0 615 312
  5. I'm trying to find the fronts. I'll try and put the picture up again
  6. None of mine have any stamping on them. Just stickers. I took them off and gave them an extra coating of black smoothrite paint b4 fitting. I could check my receipt for it's part of the number. As for the fronts...do you have a part number on them?
  7. I was very disappointed with vw in what they first supplied. even more so gutted that the correct parts are obsolete. i've tried contacting vw suppliers in the states but no one replies. hence if we cant find others, perhaps someone templating this one would be good
  8. They just don't line up with the bolt holes of the hub... And some of the pressings are different
  9. /01/f09ab5cf8fe036d204597b6e204b5d77.jpg[/img] I've got most of the drive train off and am sourcing parts. The picture is of a brake shield 3A0 615 312. Apparently now obsolete from vw. I got this as a last one from veedubmachine. I'm trying to source the left hand side one 3A0 615 311. I've tried lots of places without any luck. Before I fit this one to my car, would it be worth a template being made... I don't want to be selfish and fit the last one and we lose this opportunity. On the other hand, if someone knows of a supplier already, could you pass the info on to me. I was originally supplied two w357 615 311a shields by vw but they don't fit my VR, so if you need some and they're for your car, give me a shout[emoji3]
  10. Great picture. I'm happy with that.
  11. I don't think it effects it's operation either. Mine just didn't look right as the pipe is being forced flat on it's bend.
  12. Thanks for your help. I love this site
  13. This picture shows a slight drip of water coming out of a bolt hole. It's coloured pink due to the under seal I've just removed the VR subframe and have been de-rusting and re-sealing everywhere. My concern is that water could be sitting inside parts of the chassis. Has anyone else come across this? I'm considering wax oiling all inside every crevice I find now[emoji35]
  14. Thank you. Mine is definitely wrong sided... I couldn't see vw having a kinked pipe. More problems soon to follow
  15. I've just seen how the picture has come out, so it's the BOTTOM PIPE I'm concerned about
  16. Hopefully this picture works. I'm concerned that the left hand side pipe from the top of the engine block is in the wrong side of the heater matrix as it seems to be kinking the pipe. It's on a late VR, what do other people's do? Any help gratefully received. The previous owner has changed the matrix !! hmm
  17. Passenger side wing, and the heater directional unit behind the dash??(not the control panel) Although its only a cog underneath thats bloomin broken?
  18. Did you ever manage to get the Dovercourt St Johns Wood London number plates info? I ask as i too have a VR supplied them and would like a set of original style number plates. Thanks
  19. The plot thickens!! I have just checked both part numbers on the offending breakable item of mine N/S 722 686 877 O/S 722 686 878
  20. I'll send you both sides. Just pm me your address
  21. I have found the part in my garage. Vw no. 722 686 877. They break where the cable joins onto the slider part. Bloody things!!!
  22. I'll try and dig mine out of the garage when I'm home later.
