  1. I got my mk 4 rears with the banjo connection made up by someone off of eBay. Can't fault them.
  2. Fitted a new battery and it started 1st time. It's not been moved in months. So one of the few days she makes me happy.
  3. Apologies as my pictures don't seem to appear! ! [/img]
  4. Hopefully with that picture you can see the knobbly locating lug which is underneath the handle. What I would say is it involves a LOT of force to pull it off towards the dashboard. And when it does release Have some cushioning in front to protect your dash and hand. Good luck

Completely fantastic. Shame they weren't still about. I have the rear vw badge that would look great with some fresh chrome on it
  6. FOUND ONE. I'm looking to replace my battery with a Varta silver e38 74ah version. As it is slightly longer than my original one the battery jacket would not fit. Does anyone know of a larger version with the flap on? I appreciate people may not use the jacket at all but if possible I would like to. Thanks for any help

    Those chrome ones look fantastic
  8. I've acquired a replacement heater box as the plastic cog of mine is broken. Does anyone have spare fixings for this. I'm after the two which screw into the box and then are a bolt which goes through the bulkhead. [/img] Even one would help stop my box from floating around. Also after giving it a good clean, what do people recommend as replacement draught excluders on the flaps [emoji23]
  9. I took it to TPS who said they would return it, but couldn't promise me getting another!! So they gave me some money back and i took it to an Alternator Specialist ( CHAPMANS in Sheffield 0114 272 4541 ) Result, it turns out to be some guide sleeve on the main shaft that was too far out. He tightened the new pulley onto the shaft, which moved it into the correct seating position and all spins perfectly. Total repair cost £0, the knowledge and helpfulness of that man, PRICELESS.
  10. I've just collected a new 120A bosch alternator 028 903 018 cx 03 from TPS today, thinking I'd treat the corrado. Unfortunately it seems the shaft can move backwards about 4mm which causes the fan blades inside it to rattle on something inside!!! Surely that can't be right, or is it that when the pulley and belt are on it keeps it forward. One step forward, two steps back.... My old one doesn't do this, what do you think? [emoji35]
  11. Cheers mate. Paid PayPal if you can check I've done it right. Thank you
  12. Do you have: · 4 plastic trim clips which fit in the rear door cards · A gold coloured bolt for the seatbelt guide which fits on the b post and its behind the door card (mines dropped in the sill!!!) · 2 flat headed black screws and speed nuts which fix the rear door cards and parcel shelf supports together · 1 bolt that screws to the heater directional airbox unit that then passes through as It bolts into the engine bay. · Half size speed nut fixings that the Speedo fixes into Anything would help. Cheers
  13. The only markings on this one are: ST 219.2012-03
  14. I'm talking the alternator off my 95 vr6 tomorrow(sat 14th Nov) I don't know what Amperage it is until then and it has a shiny 6 ribbed pulley. (Should be 7 on mine) I'm replacing it with a shiny new bosch item I've ordered from tps (got a good price). This one works fine, I'm just treating myself. All I ask is I have a replacement one to give in exchange on Tuesday. I'm located at j31 m1 Aston and work in Nottingham j26. I'll post a pic tomorrow when I get it off. Sorry it's short notice, but someone may benefit from this. I hope that's okay[emoji3]
  15. Is it the one in the photo. Looks wrapped still. If so I'll have it please
  16. I've got that motor on an original corrado mechanism. Works fine. And for that price a bargain as I was ripped off for a faulty unit and now the seller ignores my texts w****r.
  17. I hope the picture it's okay and helps
  18. I'll try to remember and take a picture of it tomorrow for the part number
  19. I'd be considering the motor now. Either it's had enough, or it's out of synch with it position and the mechanism. I purchased a2nd hand one and it just clicks(i was ripped off)Fitted a mk3 golf ones to mine as it's the later rectangular plug type, and all works fine. Good luck
  20. I saw that advertisement earlier. It looks a beauty, well done
