I need to replace the abs pump on my car, a quick search on google brought up this website: http://www.houseofthud.com/cartech/abspump/ABSProcedure.html Obviously this is the procedure for a mk3 golf... but, is it a good guide to use for doing it on a corrado ?? Do I have to use VAGcom to: 1: Enable the new pump to communicate with the controller 2: Bleed the system Any help would be much appreciated Dan

Cool, thanks for posting the full version!

Blimey is that all a well loked after, low mileage VR is worth! I need to sell mine soon and was hoping for quite a bit more than that!

We arn't using any 3d scanning\capure methods - everything is modelled from scratch using the edit poly tool in 3dsmax. Here are some more renders, made a start on the engine bay too!

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! It would be good to do some sort of customising program, may look into that after its done. We are modelling it in 3dsmax using polys & mesh smooth, there's about 3 days work in it so far. All we have is this very poor plan (which isn't quite right) and various photos.

A few viewport grabs:

I run a 3d animation company based in Halifax and we've decided to produce a detailed corrado 3d model. Ben, who works for us is modelling it up. Not entirely sure what we'll use it for, maybe do a short animation.... anyway, its all good practice! I'll keep adding renders as we go, here are the speedlines to kick it off: Dan

Just found this on youtube unfortunately its not the whole thing - check out the last 2 secs! Very annoying, someone must have the rest! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zjU-wZ5xkDM

Yes, they did. I remember watching it - they pitted it against the Probe and the Calibre (just like everyone else did) and prefered it out of the three (just like everyone else did). The only bit I clearly remember was that they had a VR6 and Calrkson saying "this thing cruises at 140mph". Sorry for resurecting an old thread! Someone must have a copy of that lurking around!! Anyone ???

Thanks for the link, so that set will definatly fit a VR6 ? Dan

Car failed its MOT today on 2 flexy hoses.. I'm going to just replace the lot with SS ones but not sure which kit to get ? http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/store/section.php?xSec=85 Awesome GTI list 2 for the golf\corrado vr6 - a Pre 95 and a Post 95.. car is running the standard 280mm discs so I'm presuming i'll need the Pre 95 hose kit ? Can anyone shed any light on this ? Cheers, Dan

We had a Mamma & Pappas "from birth seat" which seemed to fit okay. Just got the Maxicosi 9m-4yrs - which also fits okay. I wouldn't buy the Recaro one for the reasons above. Why would you want to be carting a massive seat around for an 10yrs when a simple booster seat does the job!

Must resist the modding thoughts :) Very nice looking motor you have there, dont do anything else to it!
-
looking good! send it over and i'll render it up in vray for you if you like.
-
Yeah, PM me - its not actually my model, a guy on here started it, I forget who... I just textured and lit it. Are you doing a course in 3d ?? I'm always on the look out for help if you are, check my site. http://www.3dstate.co.uk Dan

3dsmax, rendered pretty poorly in vray.

We kinda half started this a while back, but it stopped mid stage!

My overall mpg always stays around the 29mpg mark! Amazing really for such a large engine, either that or the MFA is a bit out.

Here's a vid of it: http://www.dahlbackracing.se/media/viewmedia.asp?ID=5

Blimey, I was charged £280 for just the Labour & Camber setup! The hubs were badly siezed but I think I was overcharged... shall find another garage for future work - £120 all in is amazingly cheap!

Yeah, they sound great - although i've gone back to a bmc panel air filter for a change and i'm sure the power delivery is better. Then bmc seemed to lag very slightly.. might be better with the full air hose connected, i just used a small bit directed behind the headlight. Maybe i'm getting old but its quite nice to overtake cars stealthly!

How many of us have near original spec Corrados?
DanA replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Mines standard apart from Fast Road pads all round. I do love the Subtle OEM+ look though - def the way forward! -
All my tyres were also loosing pressure at various rates... So had all mine refurbished for about £40 each, not had to pump them up since!!

Just as a matter of interest, why doesn't it sound as nice ?
