Keighley Bypass - Now that is a seriously good road! -
Yeah, I just gave you a still cause it was pretty short notice.. I'll do a proper animated one this time tho.
-
I'll do you an animated 3D intro\logo - PM me nearer the time!
-
Thanks for that, looks like a bit of a bugger to DIY fit!
-
You can buy the Bosch Aux Water Pump from ECP. I fitted a new one to mine recently, here is their part number: 201440740 £73.97 inc VAT I'm pretty sure its about the same price from VW if you have any problems.
-
How much did it cost to have it fitted ?
-
Surely those power to weight ratios can't be right ? A VR is 156

I was using Autoglm for ages until I had a go with P21S! Its amazing stuff for the price, removed loads of hazy swirls and brought the paint work up like glass. £39 for the full kit too!
-
I've got the same problem with 3 of my tyres, very annoying pumping up the tyres every week!! Pretty sure its leaking from the rims.
-
Good luck picking up your motor 8) You need to get a BMC CDA air filter sorted out for it. You won't believe how good the VR sounds with that on!
-
Looks like a nice motor does that! If you ring VW up and give them the Reg. They should be able to sort some history out. If you ever need it hooking up to VAGCOM to check owt, give me a shout. Dan

Amazing!!!! How good do those roads look too!
-
Have you had a bad experience ?? I was under the impression that Magnex was a good buy!
-
Just about to fit a new pump to mine, the old one started leaking quite a bit. Managed to get a new (Bosch one) from Eurocar parts, its the same size too. Was around £70.

Thanks for the offer but i'm going to wait till the summer and see what happens.
-
Cheers guys, just have to see how things pan out financially... I really don't want to have to sell it!
-
Jesus, 4 grand!... i didn't want to hear that  Will definitely wait till the summer in that case.
-
Sorry, but here's another "whats it worth" thread! I may have to sell my Corrado at some point next year  Although I'll probably hang on till early summer. Spec: 1995 Corrado VR6 Blackberry Metallic 61800k on the clock FVWSH + All MOT's Immaculate black heated leather Completely standard 3 owners Bought it with 49k on the clock 2 years ago and its my pride and joy. Always garaged and only comes out on weekends and nice days. Bodywork is in excellent condition, just a couple of tiny dings and stone chips to the front. All the electrics are working perfectly and the interior is immaculate. pics here

Was it the housing of the temp sender that had cracked on yours ?
-
Hmmm, I think the leak is actually coming from the bottom of the bosch unit though.. May have to try and get a closer look!
-
My car is leaking coolant from around this area See pic As far as I can tell its not any of the pipes, so it looks like it could be the the Additional water pump - Is this likely to have failed or could it just be a seal ? Dan

I had problems with the main dealer when mine went in. Came back with an extra 17 miles on the clock (did a lot of complaining about this and got nowhere) and cost me £176 for what was basically an oil change! I wanted to keep the book fully stamped up, but I don't think its worth it. I'll be going to an independent specialist next time!

Interesting to hear your point of view, I know there are some very good mechanics out there! It was Lightcliffe VW up near Shelf. Where do you take yours now Nick ? I actually also noticed when I got into the car that the stereo had popped out of the housing an inch or so.. it sometimes does this when its driven hard! Can't think of any other reason why it would have come out. (impossible to prove though)

70 miles!!! how come ? I've spoken to them and they said they do a quick road test, the woman agreed that 17 was excessive. I'm going to write a letter to them and see what their explanation it.
