Just had my car in at VW for a 60k service - Cost £176 For what was basically just an oil change (have a BMC filter and the sparkplugs were not done) £40 parts and the rest labour. Made a note of the mileage before I dropped it off and it had an extra 17 miles on it too. Quite a thorough test drive that! Won't be going to the dealers again thats for sure.

Its great, just buy one :D I tried to do a sound clip of mine using my phone... Had the windows down and all i could hear was wind noise unfortunatly! It sounds so much better than the K&N though. If you don't fit the air ducting (aparently does very little) its louder, so you can play around with the noise levels.

I think it could go for 6k+ if its really mint. I paid 7 for mine 18mths ago but it had 49k on the clock and leather. If you just happen to find the right person you should do okay. How much did you buy it for if you don't mind me asking ?

I'd say it is worth it for the noise alone :D Much nicer sound than a cone filter which are a bit ott in my opinion..

I was in my bright blue seat Ibiza, eating lunch facing towards you on your left. First layby out of Beaumaris. Was on holiday for a week and didn't want the 'rado full of sand, haha Must have been you cause it was around 1:30pm... (just checked the time against a petrol receipt) Knew I should have waved!! Car looked great btw

I got one the other week 42 in a 30 :x had a clean licence for 12yrs. The mobile cams seem to be everywhere recently. Best just admiting fault and paying your tax, sorry fine.

Dark coloured corrado with a debadged grill (i think) poss G or H reg ? On Sun 15th driving through Llandudno. Driver flashed and waved :D Anyone on here ??

That's the Carbon Canister - If you do a search you'll find detailed instructions how to remove\relocate this in order to make use of the hole. At the moment I'm just using a short piece of pipe running to the headlight which seems to work ok. When I have some spare time I'm going to have a go relocating the CC, so let us know how you get on.

Where does the feed actually go when you've fed it through the CC hole ? does it get a better air supply ? At the moment mine just has a very short hose taking it up to the headlight. -
I paid a lot more than £5500 for mine! Although it did have lower milage... As Ford says: if you can backup the milage with FVWSH and all MOTS you could be getting a bargain! Have you been to look at it... whats the bodywork like ??

Bugger, suppose it's best to get a new one sorted then. Will renue the belt at the same time, not sure why its gone that colour. Is it the sort of thing that G&S or Euro sell ? Is it an easy job to fit ?

I've recently fitted a BMC CDA and just realised i'd positioned it so the edge of the mounting bracket was touching a pully :x As you can just about make out from the photo there's a slight edge still left. Should I get a replacement or will it be okay ? Pully Photo
