This happened to me a while back on a Mk2 Golf. I snapped an easy out in it and that was that! So as Gaz says, be very careful.

Looking very nice indeed 8)

I'd sell a few now if I were you, I bet its all just hype! Good earner though!
-
If your wanting your alloys refurbished and live close to Leeds you might want to try these guys: MSS LTD I've just had mine done and i'm really pleased with the results! Total cost was £176 (inc vat) which included sending one off to have a small crack welded up. Some quick photos:

Just checked the part number and its T-5075 so they are't fast road ones
-
Thanks everyone, i've got the mk4 pads. I've just realised they are normal ones instead of fast road. How much difference does this make, should I swap... or just stick with these ?
-
When I first heard this car I knew I had to get one! VR6 & G60 flyby

There seems to be 2 types of pads for the mk4: 64329F - BRAKE PAD SET-PAG.FAST RD 64327F - BRAKE PAD SET-PAG.FAST RD The 64329F are for most models and the 64327F are for the V5 and the 1.8 150bhp Turbo. Which ones do i get ??
-
Ah, another spanner in the works :) So, anyone know the part number for those ?
-
Are you sure they are the MK3 pads ? They come up as MK2 on the GSF site: LINK
-
I'm just about do the rear discs\bearings and put MK4 calipers on. After much searching around i've found the best pads are the Pagid Fast Road MK3 GTI ones, does anyone have the GSF part number to hand ?? Thanks, Dan

I'd keep the speedlines, I think they look spot on esp. when slightly lowered! if you really have your heart set on new ones, how about some Speedline Comp2 16" (if you can still get them) Great colour BTW
-
Seen a few vids of this being dyno'd, but i think this is a new one! Apologies if its been posted before, well worth another watch though. EIP R32

Are these ABS pump units VR specific or are they the same on all the models ?
-
Yeah, thats the one i'm leaning towards, it weighs nearly 2kg  ... i'd love the prime as its very fast and razor sharp, but I think it will be too limiting not having any zoom. Was also looking at the Canon 100-400L IS but thats nearly twice the price of the Bigma!
-
That is very impressive!! I know what you mean about L lens prices, the camera body is the cheap bit really :) Keep up the good work!
-
How much better is the 17-40L over the kit ?? One day i'll replace my kit with an L lens, but money is going into a long wildlife lens first, 500mm or so.
-
Excellent photos!! I love your long exposure night shots! What lenses are you using on your 300d ?
-
Panel filter will make it slightly noiser, but not enough to notice any difference really. Get a BMC CDA induction kit, I found the K&N way too noisy! The cabin seriously virbated at high revs, I don't know how people can stand it.
-
Cool, sounds like you had an ace day out! I did the Porsche day at Prestwold Hall... Driving the Boxster S and a 996, quality day! Did they take the driving photos ?
-
My local dealership seem to like mine... They put on an extra 17 miles during a standard service! :x
-
That went recently on mine too! I got one from ECP for about £70, as far as corrado's go its a cheap and easy fix :D Make sure you take the rubber mount off before you bin it!

Your golf looks exactly like my old car, the reg wasn't G900 *** was it ? Nice 'rado by the way! Its a great jump in handling & power even coming from a golf valver! -
You, sir, are double hard. Just very stupid!
