Correct me if I'm wrong........mmmmm sherry pearl 8) 8) Nice motor...don't sell it, you'd be gutted!
-
LMAO !:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: I noticed that too, thought VW are taking design to the next level.....kinda wish they would go back to the level they had when the designed the Corrado! When they going to do the new Corrado? We know they CAN do it! 8)
-
Each to there own, but as chrishill, says, it doesn't really blend with the original lines of the car, and does look a little bit, dare I say...."chav"? :? Sorry, just my opinion though, it does look like it has been done well though

Mine rattles like a b1tch on the bodywork......drives me mad! I know what the problem is on mine - 1) it catches on the rear axle as the pipework goes over it 2) the centre box catches on the rear axle as it is positioned too far back. You might find that your maybe catching in the same manner. It was ok when it was originally fitted (badly) by Demon Tweeks, but then moved a bit, and hey presto, one really annoying rattle. It might be worth checking the positions of the centre box and the back box, an that the centre is far enough forward, and the back box pipework, with the bend apex directly over the axle.

Some of these organised up to date guys recommend taking low resolution kwik pics with a digital camera when disassembling components. Never tried it yet - but "you know it makes sense"! that's a good idea....all I need is a camera now!

 Erm...thought I did!
-
Thought so, That's what I've done! Faulty thermostat then! Thanks guys
-
Which end of this thermostat should go into the water pump, and which end faces out?
-
I don't think the water is getting past the thermostat! The bottom hose never gets to the same temp as the top one! Going to get another thermostat from VW today, and some G12 antifreeze!
-
Well, for some reason the thermostat doesn't want to open! Gets really hot and then with the top off the expansion tank, boils before the fan cuts in! I think I've got a fecking airlock, and I've tried filling the system through the top hose on the rad. Spent 3 hours last night trying to get it right. Anyone want to buy a Corrado

mmmmmm audi concept le mans car 8) 8) http://www.carenthusiast.com/detroit2004.html?make=Audi

mmmm probably a good plan, I'll ask down the stealer tomorrow, when I pick up the replacement pipe 8) Is the coolant sensor in the side of the block below the distributer?
-
So, what would cause an increase in temp? More water than before, or more antifreeze/summer coolant? The leak is only tiny to be fair, and I don't think its been there long, as I drove 170miles before I double checked the belt tightness and noticed the leak.
-
Just ordered hose from Vindis in Cambridge, and managed to get 10% off!! £33 which I thought wasn't too bad! 8) Just trying to recoup the extortional amount of money that they charged me for changing the core plug!!
-
1a shrewsbury, 1a cambridge, I will do so well!
-
Mmmm about 50% antifreeze, and 50% water. Is that what I should have done? Also, I appear to have sprung a leak, just notice it tonight. The small angled hose that goes between the top rad house (joined next to the head) and the oil cooler appears to have a split in it where it reduces in size. Could anyone with ETKA please sort me a part number. Could anything else go wrong......maybe I shouldn't say that!
-
Right, I fitted my new water pump on Saturday, took me about 2 1/2 hours 8) Now my C runs hotter, water temp gauge reads around 95degC, whereas before it read 82-85degC, oil is hotter too! I bled the water system, ran it with the top off the expansion tank until the fan kicked in. It was a pump from GSF, with new thermostat and seal/gaskets. Why would it run hotter? :? :?
-
Well good luck dude, and as Kev says check in from time to time to let us all know how you're getting on!!
-
RH Toplines 7.5x17 on the old B Autos car. Pretty rare wheel though. Can't have been RHs as all the toplines (AA, AB and ZW2) are 8J minimum width. Oops!! Just checked and they were 8x17...like this but in a 4 stud [/quote:415a1] Now that is what I'm taloking about 8) 8) 8) 8)

Are you permanently leaving the Corrado fold?  Or are you looking for another? VW?
-
The first one is a Supersprint de-cat pipe. I've got one and it looks like that!
-
He did, but they don't do them in a 17"! What would 8x16 look like on a C? Would I be able to go a little lower with 8x16 rather than 8x17?
-
Cheers Kev, well spotted. Are they the guys you got your wheels off? Just sent them an e-mither for a price! :)

Good Friend of mine has got a 4th Gen (M-reg) Prelude. Jap 2.2vTec engine transplant with twiddly knob to adjust the vtec, Spoon chip, exhaust, air filter etc.....Fast! (around 230bhp). And unlike the new vTec engines it actually has a supprising amount of torque  ! HE doesn't even like the New Civic Type-R's...something about looking like buses and not really tune-able cos all the power has been extracted out of the engine in the factory, oh and driven by people who can't drive  His words not mine  He does track days reasonably regular, and p1sses all over Civic Type-R's
