Saw one on T'internet the other day, and the bloke had used a 2.0l 9a block as a base and had off-set bushes the pistons, but as for 1.8, over to you Kev!

I had a chat with JMR about this, and it is definately easier to go G60 -> 16v G60 rather than 16v -> 16v G60. He mentioned a lot of things you wouldn't normally think about unitl you were half way through a conversion. Stuff like needing a G60 wiring loom, that's the whole engine bay loom, G60 clocks, different alternator( I think he mentioned a daihatsu one - needs to be small to mount underneath the charger) different inlet mainfold, fuel rail, injectors, etc etc The only advantage from using a 16v as a base is the high pressure fuel pump used by the K-Jet! I suggest giving JMR a call, he's a serious fountain of knowledge! I was put off the idea of 16v G60 because of cost, although it's still in the back of my mind 8) As Henny suggests you might be better looking out for a turbotechnics kit!

Looking very sweet mate, your audio plans sound pretty impressive too, those MTX thunder amps have some serious grunt! Good skills, and as someone has already said....PHAT!

I saw this offset bushed business in a 2.0l 16v turbo conversion. How does that work then? Is it an expensive thing to do?

Was in Demon Tweeks on Saturday getting my Magnex exhuast sorted out, and asked if anyone did an exhaust manifold for my C, they said they couldn't supply one. Does anyone one know who makes one?

Right, I was driving back from cambridge last night, and about half way home the led on the dash that indicates that you have got your brake light on or that you brake fluid is low, slowly started to glow. It started off really dim, but gradually got brighter. Stopped at the nearest services (M6 toll) and checked the brake fluid level, and it seemed fine. Can anyone suggest why its started doing this? Is it something simple like a bad earth? Cheers

So, we know what you've done to your C, but what are your plans for this year? Mine are as follows...... Finish replacing the interior with a black one (seats, shelf and dash) Fit VR6 front calipers and MK4 Golf rear calipers Fit some 9x16" Borbet A's or Keskin/Kerscher Spring Caps on front Fit my Sub Tint rear lights Refurb head with new stem seals, polishing and exhaust cam modified to inlet(in progress) Fit my polished 50mm inlet manifold Samco's Stainless exhaust manifold (Miltek?) Fix exhaust rattle - the most annoying thing in the world.....being sorted on Monday! Respray to sort body deficiencies(bonnet, bumpers, wheel arches bottom of the doors) Should get all this done this year, except maybe the alloys :( Does this lot sound excessive?

What parts you replaced in your ownership?!?

In 18 months: Passenger Door handle Ignition module Distributer Dizzy Cap Rotor Arm Plugs Front & rear discs and pads T-piece water hose Water pump (and Coolant three times Doh!) 2x Oil /filter 1x set of tyres Cam belt and tensioner 2x rear wheel bearings Front Engine Mount Alternator belt Thermostat Fan/Rad switch Modifications: See my signature, athough the exhaust started blowing and needed replacing and the dampers were knackered Things to do VR6 front calipers discs and MK4 Golf rear calipers and goodridge lines (waiting for rear calipers and front discs) Rebuilt Head with new stem seals, polishing (in progress) JOM front spring caps (bought but not on yet) Focal 27V2 (bought but not in yet) Bought the C for £2850 with 88k on the clock and a stamped log book, but no receipts at all. I'm guessing it hasn't been looked after, and wish I'd taken more time to look at other C's before buying. -
