And get one for me too! 8)
-
Fair f***ing play! That is some peice of machinery! Makes me wonder if what I'm going to do is worth it! :( Extremely good skills on your top quality effort dude! 8)
-
The noise seems to be just at that pitch that you can hear it over the stereo :( :( And I don't think its the dash screws, I've checked all of them! :(
-
I agree with the 10" wide and 18" would be way too big for a C. 9x16" is the way forward for looks, but for handling I'm sure they wouldn't be as good as 7.5"x16". (someone tell me I'm wrong, cos I want to put 9x16" on mine! 8) ) Depends what you want really....a Corrado with stupidly big wheels, that wont look particularly nice and will create all sorts of rubbing issues :( , or a Corrado that looks wide, but handles as well as it should! :D

No it sounds like a rattling type sound. and t's definately coming from the rev counter. Could it be the little spring that is attached to the needle?
-
Has anyone ever had a problem with there rev counter making a funny tinkling noise? Mine does at just over 3000rpm which is about 70mph in 5th gear...what a pain in the ar5e! :x It's really annoying :x Anyone know why, and how to stop it...please :(

Another corrado for the breakers? I pray not!

Gutted for you matey...... :( :( It sounds like that might be one less bordeaux C on the road :( NO NEED -
Oh right.. Well, any one any other ideas? Would be interested in a larger throttle body myself... 8)
-
How big is a throttle body off a 2.3l Audi? I'm sure I fitted one of these to my Mk1 Golf 8v. Is it bigger than a standard 2.0l 16v one? If so would it fit?
-
Just read the thread on the Type-R forum...interesting reading  Not keen on the look of the Civic Type R, but to be fair they go like stink.....wouldn't like to race one in my 2.0l 16v  would give it a go in a VR6 though! As a few people mentioned, it's normally down to the driver...the expression "BERTI BIG B0LL0CKS" seems quite apt

GIXXERUK, I'll call them and see what they say. They fitted a small 'adapter' pipe, which was cut to size, so I can't see why it should be catching on the rear beam at all. :(
-
I ran overa cat once, it went nuts..fur was fying everywhere, I felt terrible. :( Wouldn't want that to happen to my cat I can tell you that :(
-
Going to take it back to them, after I've had a good look at the position of the bend over the rear axle. If it's not directly ove the beam, I'm going to tell them to fit it properly! Shouldn't be like it is, no matter how low the car is.
-
Well that's just great! The bloke who fitted my exhaust was the chimp! :( :( I'll take it back then, he also fitted the decat pipe in such a way that the lambda prope fouls on the heat sheilding, just waiting for the wires to snap :( :(
-
They replaced all the exhaust rubbers when the fitted the zorst.......like you say, don't really want to flatten a new exhaust. :(
-
I had a Magnex exhaust fitted to my C with a supersprint decat pipe from Demon Tweeks, after driving a round for a week or two the exhaust has started to catch on the top rear beam every so often, under different loads and speeds. When I went back to Demon Tweeks to have the tracking and Camber done I mentioned to them that it was catching and they said that I needed to either replace the bump stops or fit helper springs to stop it catching. Now what I wan to know is are they talking a load of rubbish and the exhaust just wasn't fitted properly, or what? My C is lowered on H&R's/Koni's and if for example it was on coil-overs and even lower surely the problem would be worse, and therefore the exhaust wasn't fitted properly. :( Do I go back to them and say "fit the bloody thing properly!" or is it a common problem with no solution but to lift the back up a bit? :?
-
O I C !  thanks Henny

Sorry for bing a bit stupid :? , but who is JMR and are there any pics about?

That's actually the sort I'm after! 8) not M3 style, the first picture didn't look like M3 style skirts to me. Was going for the deaper early front splitter - colour coded and leave the back one alone. And really want to go for a set of 9x16" Keskin or Kerscher alloys with it as low as it can go without it being a really unconfortable ride. Need to accrue a lot more cash first, but I need to start somewhere 8)
-
Just wondering if anyone can suggest wher I might get a set of very plain side skirts similar to the ones on the car in the picture below? All the obvious manufacturers are really max power style and look pants, whereas I think these look quite tastful. Anyone?
-
I did all of the above, except I only got 8 cam followers not realising that you have to take both cams out to change the chain! Tis a little bit rattlynow, so would recommend replacing all 16 of them. Replaced the rocker cover gasket too!

 in that case....bugger! Not an easy job to do in the dark then! Any idea how long it takes to do? Friend of mine is picking some passat door handles up for me on Saturday. What does he need to get? Just the handle or handle and mech? I've also got some chrome locks of an Audi that need to go on, does that complicate the job? :? Cheers

After all the recent fun and games with my C, the missus went to get in the passenger side the other day and the door wouldn't open. Opens from the inside no probs, but the handle on the outside does nothing. Is it a common problem :?: Is it worth doin the passat door handle mod if I've got to replace the handle anyway? If so, is it easy to do in the dark? Only have week day evenings to work on the C....and no garage to get the car in :( Help!

Not a big fan of RS4 bumpers either, but fair does it looks really good mate. Good effort! 8)

KR cam has a longer duration too! Done it on mine with no other real engine mods...makes a noticable difference 8)
