mrbeige replied to mrbeige's topic in Engine Bay
Cheers mon. I'll start saving my pennys! :) -
No probs I'll let you know....booked in a 2.30 Saturday :D
-
Sounds like there is more people out there with the same problem Right then, I'll book it in at Demon Tweeks on Saturday then to have the geometry set up properly. £45 apparently, is that reasonable? thanks

I seem to have bit of a problem..... I have lowered my Corrado on Koni top adjustables and H&R Springs. In the process iI have abviously adjusted the camber so that it has a little bit of negative camber. Now it handles really well in the dry, but in the wet, when cornering at speed on say a dual carriageway (80mph), it seems like the car is floating, and sliding - very odd feeling and made me poo myself a little bit! :pale: What's wrong? Do I take it to have the geometry set up properly? Or is it something more serious? The tyres on it are Yoko A520's with loads of tread. What do you think?

are the supersprint manifolds stainless? the reason I asked was cos I had a supersprint manifold on my MK1 Golf, and was under the impression when I bought it that it was stainless steel, but later found out that it was in fact chrome plated mild steel???? -

What's the difference between a 4-2-1 manifold and 4-1 performance wise. I also have a very rattly centre box (baffles are knackered) Would I be wise to replace this with a straight through pipe? I guess it would change the performance of the engine, but to what effect? I have a supersprint de-cat pipe ready to go on, as well. -

yer changed the tappets, and the chain. And it does go quite a bit better. Would recommend the mod to anyone with a 9A engine. Four branch manifold seems to be the next choice then. Any Recommendations? -

Forgot to mention, Seems to be running hotter now, is that normal :?: Cheers -
After all you guys recommended doing this mod, it does make quite a big difference! Revs cleanly to the rev limiter now and all hell breaks loose at about 4500rpm. What next? Everything else standard apart from Green Cotton Air filter!

Sorry about the delay in posting back........  Right, for you guys who want later style pods with the window switch incorporated audioscape would like a switch to be lent to them so they can make a mould of it for the group buy pods (just to improve on what they've got) As soon as they have that I can go a head and order the pods up in the two different types. They are available in beige or black vinyl finish, so please PM me with you exact requirements so we don't make the wrong ones :!: :!: Cheers guys, and sorry about the delay, had a lot on my plate, if you know what I mean! Are both front windows on a C one touch up and down? If so then I've got a problem with the passenger window! And..... Why can I not put both windows down at the same time? If the drivers window is on its way down using one touch, then the passenger window wont move until the drivers one stops....weird :? Help

The door cavity will be open and the best thing to do is use dynamat or brown bread sound deadening and then put some focal "plein chant" behind the speaker on the outer door skin. Apparently according to Jaz from Focal this stuff acts in a similar way to an anechoic chamber i.e reducing destructive interference caused by the reflection of the sound waves from the back of the speaker! Come on guys, Focals kick ass. I've got some Utopia Audiom 6W mids and Utopia TN51 tweeters in my other car and they sound awesome! :D :D
