Check the brake fluid reserviour, ifthe fluid is low the light will come on dimly. If the level is good, check the low level switch that is in the top is ok.

So what is the differnece between the Rotrex chargers and the V9? Is it just the size, or is there some sort of cunning engineering going on?
-
Some good info there. See, why can't I be developing software to do that sort of schitt! I'd love to be doing that. So where in the system does the BOV go then?

Can someone confirm the purpose of the above on turboed engines please, I'm still a little unsure??

JSB Racing Shiftlight kit - Pre-order for next batch

I did actually consider this, but wasn't sure if it was feasible, as the temp senders are necessarily the same across all models, and the rpm inout is based on the pulse coming into the clocks, which is again different between the 4 and 6 cylinder models. I'll have a look into that though.... -
Not sure on the difference, I always thought that the rears were all the same. Why don't you replace them with some MK4 golf items? Just get some of the braided goodrich lines from somewhere like C&R, as they have different fittings. I got some Golf calipers from a breakers for £80 delivered, and the lines were about £25 I think. No problem Adie! The Omex just give me the idea, and it seems pretty simple to implement. Just wasn't sure of the application really. -
S2 pistons and rods will work with the KR, and you wouldn't need them with a PG as the compression is already 8.5:1 (IIRC). NOt sure about the 16v head onto a PG block? Yandards has built a G60 16v, but ~I'm not sure if he used a KR block or a PG block.

I went to the one in '96. They had The Shamen live on stage! I rememeber both Bernard Newbury's karmann ghia and 'Homerun'. Totally awe inspiring -
How long ago did you do them, and has the weather affected the finish yet?

That's a good point! I think you can get the limiter values through the MFA by following a given proceedure, but I'm not sure if there is any means to change or remove them. In which case the JSB system might only work if the limiting was required further down the rev range. :? -
The Concept 300 remotes aren't the best design in the world. The symptons you describe could simply be casued by the little retainer clip inside the remote that holds the battery in place that suffers from poor connection through the little PCB, which then means that sometimes when you press the buttons on the remote they don't work. Just open up the remote and resolder the two pins that go through the PCB for the battery clip, and voila you should be sorted! Hopefully.....
