  1. you do understand that by the time you've driven to UD, it will be dirty again  mines going into a car wash on the way to UD.
  2. i have done the "easy" brake bleeding twice, its a s***e job i have never been able to get it done properly. the last time i just bled them so i could just about stop, and then got the nearest VW garage to bleed them properly. it only cost me £25 and the brakes were perfect afterwards. much less hassle than doing them yourself.
  3. said it before, and i'll say it again. you do have some bloody good skills mate. karl
  4. can i have 2nd dibs mate. karl
  5. where abouts in the midlands are you?? Midland VW can do this for you, they are based in cannock and they can get the braided hoses for you, and there not very expensive. karl
  6. that does sound very ill mate :( but its not terminal though, you can get the chains/tensioners from the states for £80+ delivery http://www.fourseasontuning.com/?product=271 and the head gasket is just not a nice job. but not that hard. dont give up mate. karl
  7. dont worry, we will get it sorted this weekend :)
  8. Mmmm nice colour and the wheels look nice and wide, but not a fan of the side skirts at all though. sorry

    Bolsters

they are still available Jon, i got one ordered today for my brothers corrado. if you want i can ask if i can get another one ordered for ya. karl
  10. i love trying to spend other people money, the missus spends enough of mine  as for cost of refurb, you could do a very good DIY job for about £30ish, professional job would cost anywhere between £200-£350. so attempt it yourself (not hard) then if your not happy get a pro to do it. karl
  11. the hoses of a mk4 will be fine mate its just the standard TT ones that are to long (and very dangerous), and the thread is the same. karl
  12. here ya go Fay http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... pic=136293 bloody bargain if you ask me :) karl
  13. a mate of mine has had loads of problems with he's brand new koni coilovers, even out of the box he could not adjust them as they were seized up?? he sent them back 3 weeks ago and is still awaiting for the replacements to arrive. but i will say my H&R comforts are just stunning.
  14. you could always sell Fay your spare alloy Bill
  15. what about these alloys Fay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-16-inch-Allo ... dZViewItem i had a set of these on my car until last week, and being 16's i had no rubbing issues and the ride was so much more comfy than 17's. they usually go for about £120ish on e-bay. But i was lucky with mine as i paid £50 for mine. karl
  16. well the pi springs are some of the best springs you can get for a vr6, mate them to some Koni T/A's and you will be a very happy man. karl
  17. i could have split the grey corrado i bought a few weeks back and made some good money, but the car was/is to good to be broken. thats why i have been working on it so my brother can have it. i would only split one if it was not financially worth the money to get it back into shape. karl
  18. well the discs arrived from CRN performance today 8) and they are actually EBC discs. which is even better for the £120 i spent on them. they will be getting fitted hopefully this weekend as i'm still waiting for the pads to arrive :?
  19. i'm doing my old mans 750i's driver seat for him next weekend using the re-dying kit, and thats BORING black leather, so i will take some pics so you can see how good the kit is when not changing the colour, but simply getting rid of all the nasty creases. karl
  20. well as some of you have heard?? i bought LicklePauls storm get vr6 off him 2 weeks ago (for a grand) well i took it for an MOT, and god did it fail in style :( i need new brake discs/pads all round, all brake pipes need replacing, all the wheel bearings need replacing, the radiator blew up while they were checking the brakes?? it was only running on about 4 cylinders, plus loads more little jobs to do. but for a grand its a very good base project, unfortunately i just cant afford another car to run, so my little brother is going to have it :) i'm keeping the brembos (getting new discs/pads this week) i'm keeping the front bumper as i love it, i'm having the H&R coilovers also. my brother will be starting he's own thread soon, but thought i would show you what we have done so far. its running so smooth now we have put in some new plugs/leads, its probably the quitest vr6 i have ever heard 8) a new radiator has been installed (cheers Alex303) and will be getting some standard brakes fitted soon. when this car is sorted?? i will be starting on mine again :) karl
