  1. the fabric on the bolster is held on by 8/10 metal clips (easy) the seat base/back section, is held on by metal clips/plastic retaining clips (easy but fiddly) the only hard bit will be the side bolsters, some are sewn on (right b******d) but some are also fitted by sewing/metal clips (complete b*****d) but its not out of anybodys means to do it though. if i can do it!! anyone can. if ya get stuck?? send me a pm. karl
  2. i personally would take the seats apart and do the dying properly, ie; in the washing machine at the proper temp. this will clean your fabric 100%, and you will get a much more uniform colour on the seats. it's a piece of p to take the cloth off the seats etc etc. if your gonna do it?? do it once, do it properly :) karl
  3. my oil cooler is slightly smaller than yours (16 row) plus i removed my original water cooler. did you do the same? yeh the water cooler went straight in the bin.

  10. TTseats can be done very very easily, theres a set for sale on here at the moment viewtopic.php?f=13&t=62816 but i would personally never change from beige recaros to a set of TT seats!! if you had standard cloth seats, then i could understand why you would consider it. but at the end of the day thats just my personal point of view :) karl
  11. glad the car did not fill up with smoke while you were belting down the motorway Doug, otherwise you may not have been here at all :( theres a fuse box here viewtopic.php?f=13&t=59695 for sale mate, hope ya get it sorted soon. karl
  12. you could always buy some R32 front seats that are black/grey?? and dye them Beige so they match the rest of your interior 8) i dyed mine back in february mate, and apart from the one section on the seats that are vinyl (tight gits) they are still 100% perfect :D and with the dye you have spare, you could go over the doorcards just to bring them up to "as new" standard. if you decided to do this?? i could have a drive up to scotland, and give ya a hand :) karl
  13. the front seats will fit fine, i will try and find a pic i found with a corrado with those seats in. but the rears were a problem from what i found out on vwvortex, when i was considering different interiors for mine.

  21. yeh your on about the FK AK's, i had them on my vr for about 6 months, they were the worst suspension i have ever had  the first 4 months they were fine, then they just lost all the damping overnight?? the seals were all ok, but they just went really quickly :?
