yeah i was rather jammy this year with alloys 8) the LM's were 99% mint, with really good dunlops. they were off a Jap car so 5/114.3, but i got some adaptors made in the states for £140 delivered. over xmas they will be getting colour coded centres, with chromed rims. i'm sure you can get lm's in 5/100, but they are rare, and very very expensive. karl

the ALT tangents do come up on vwvortex now and again, i have seen a couple of sets go for about £300. but i was happy when i got my original LM's for £250 inc tyres off e-bay this year 8)

first thing i would do is either put some redex in the fuel tank, or if the fuel level is lowish?? fill it up with the finest petrol that is near you. if the car has been standing for 4 years with the same petrol in it?? it will run like a real pile of poooo. i had a green cotton air filter on mine years ago, and it ran 100% fine. karl

well the old girl went for her MOT today :( and after the MOT had a phone call from the garage. "well did it pass or fail" i said. the guy told me it was without any question the best condition 14 year car he has ever had on the ramps, he could not find one thing wrong with it. 8) then he comented on the strange whistling noise :) so i took him for a (spirited drive) down the nearest dual carriage way, when he stopped shaking :lol: he said he has got to get one of these bloody great cars. :lol: karl

Nice 8) that is what VW should have done in the first place. and anybody that says a mk2 doesn't handle well with a vr6 engine in has never been out in one.

i know this is not an easy question to answer as a cars value can differ from one persons description of immaculate to another persons of immaculate?? but i have been offered another vr6 :) i may keep it for myself, or give it to the missus, and sell the crappy leon... its a 93 k reg (dizzy) vr6 (automatic) with a genuine 73k on it. its sherry pearl in colour, but does need the passenger door re-spraying.it also has air-con (divia unit) but needs re-gassing to work 100% the leather is in very good condition but just needs some gliptone loving. so what would you all say is a reasonable amount to pay for it?? here is a picture of the car. karl

i would ike to hear poeople opinions on what i should do to my car next?? i will be taking my vortech v1 charger off very soon, i was gonna go for the rotrex C-30-94 charger with all the extras ie 15/18psi pulley, APR bolts (full set) s/s headgasket etc etc etc. but i also have an R32 engine at the moment sitting in my garage that i was keeping for when i blew my engine up :) i would love to fit the R32 engine, and at the same time bolt on the Rotrex 8) (450bhp) but i just cant do it at the moment :( so!! my 2 options are. 1, put the rotrex on, and have some more supercharged fun for a while. (and when it blows up?? shove the R32 in) 2, put the R32 in, will be using a new emerald set up for it 8) so should be around the 300bhp. and when i get bored with that?? then put the rotrex on?? i would love to do number 2 with the rotrex ASAP, but my finances have other prioritys at the moment. so i have to decide on either number 1 or 2 :( thanks karl

blimey they are cheap, depending on what the reserve is?? if you bidded/won them Rob?? i can collect them for ya. atherstone is only down the road from me. just remember the tyres on them will be no good for a corrado, they are allways 205/55/16. they do look good on though 8) karl

i like them rob, the only thing i would do (in the future) would be colour code the centres. but apart from that they are functional for fitting bigger brakes, and they are miles lighter then the Brocks. karl

i've been lucky then, in the 3 and a half years of owning a vr6, all i have had to replace is a water pump, and a heater matrix.

yeh true, but i hate all M3 drivers so i teach them a lesson everytime i see one :lol:

ask andy665 mate, he has got one. i have a 1.9td bora in my car range :) and it is a very nice car to drive. plus it never seems to run out of petrol either. wish the same could be said for the corrado :) sell the corrado :shock: go and wash your mouth out with soap :lol: karl

Rotrex on the 12v, OR an R32 inplace of the 12v. just cant make my mind uo 100% though. :?
