if i move down your way i would install it for you, how long you wanna wait for it to be fitted though??
-
about time kev, the thing i realy like about this car is you have no clue that its packing 400bhp even when its started you have no real clue what is lurking under the bonnet as its just so damn smooth, the brakes give you a clue that all is not standard but they are not painted a nasty red/yellow so they even look standard if you dont know anything about brakes. a true credit to you mate, hope you never sell it karl (just about to go for a wrist work out)
-
if it is the cat i have one available.
-
sweet, i think the missus would kill me though if i did this in the spare bedroom :censored:
-
oh yeh my bad, i just spotted this on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EONON-7-Dash-Scre ... 3cb1064693 and thought it was the same as Andys, looking again its made by the same people just a different model
-
very very nice mate :)
-
hi Andy, how have you found this headunit, and what is the sat nav like?? cheers karl
-
i will get some more pics if i end up with the car :) yeh you right i must be chuffing insane to even entertain running one
-
sorry pete but gonna have to disagree, not just saying this to make me feel better about possibly buying the car, but a 850ci with a manual box is a very rare car with only 102 built ever, and out of those 102 only 68 still exist,i have been led to believe that off the 8er forum that its worth a minimum of 6k and if its in good nick then 8k is a reasonable amount, there was a mint one sold a few weeks ago for 18k, yeh it only had 35k on the clock. anyway i have prov bought the car depending on what it fails the MOT with.

thats spooky as thats one of my old sets of seats, i dyed the fronts after i did a diy re-trim on the rear, so it looks like the dye has stared to peel off the parts of the front seats that arent leather, thats probably because the seats are out of a rover and not an audi. these seats cannot be modded to tilt forward, sorry
-
get a pic up of the full seat mate, and its not hard to dye leather if you found another style of front seat instead ie some tt front seats. karl
-
thats a very good call Graeme, the comps are ok (if not a little boring) but the TH2's are just soo hard looking 8) also you considered a mk1 elise with a 300+bhp audi BAM engine???
-
get a pic up, but you will realy struggle to modify the actual seat so it flips forward though, there are seat base frames that tilt the whole seat forward but none for a corrado (i have tried in the past) so if you buy some of those frames you will have to butcher them up to fit into the seat rails, and they aint cheap to start off with. so in other words sell the audi seats and fit something that works properly.

i hear you loud and clear Jim, IF i get the 850then the 540 will have to go and will have to get a diesel estate or the like, and how do you think my missus feels with my indescion's on cars  thats why i'm going to take it to BMW for an oil change straight away as they will go over the whole car with a very fine tooth comb while its there, and will pick up anything that needs doing. lets see what happens tomorrow when i look at with my head and not my heart.

oh yeh forgot to say that on the 8 series owners forum someone sold a manual 850 with 10k less on the clocks but with 3 owners and in boring blue for 10k 2 months ago. So this car is going very cheap.
-
well i can have it for £3000. And yeh you can get an 850 for that often on ebay but not with one owner or one that is manual which makes it worth much much more than what i will possibly be paying for it. Just gotta get underneath it on friday and check fuel and brake pipes and then make a decision. As parts for these cars are mega bucks.
-
i will double check the paint code when i view the car again on friday, i'm not bothered if its 1/1 or 1/200 as its a lovely colour. £1200, even i'm not that lucky
-
just found out on the 8 series forum its rarer than i thought http://www.8coupe.com/Colors/ExteriorCo ... fault.aspx so its one of one ever sprayed in that colour  makes a storm seem common
-
er yeh its very very cheap for what it is, there were only 102 manual 850ci's ever built and only four done in this colour throughout the 8 series being built. go on then you lot have a guess how much i can have it for??
-
yeh i have the 540i sport as a cheap daily if i get this
-
what have i done?? ok i have been offered a 1993 850ci 6 speed manual, and one of only four in the whole world done in this shade of green, the original owner of this car emigrated to new zealand just over 6 years ago, and since then its been parked outside he's parents, they have got sick of it being parked there so have offered it me first, the car has been started regulary and been taken for very very short drives, i had to jump start it today and it started straight away, the engine sounds absolutly mint with no knocks/rattles or anything. obviously being stood there for so long it needs a damn good clean, its a one owner with full service history until it was left in the uk, its a 6 speed manual with approx 120k, i will get some better pics and a vid on friday, and the bonnets fine i just forgot to close it while it was running. heres a pic karl (major share owner in ESSO)

shame about the mileage, but it will keep on going way past 400k http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2073666.htm shame about the gearbox fault as its the best colour and very cheap http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2011557.htm this one just needs some parallel's and needs the wood throwing in the bin :pukeright: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1980160.htm this one you want http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p i will keep looking
