  4. personally i would go for silver centres mate.
  5. i'm slowly warming to them, its only taken me about 8 years :) new wheels/suspenion and it will look loads less gay though.
  6. with your expert fabricating skills i would have thought you would have made some adaptors 2 fit the 280's mate

  8. good move, a hangover always helps when working on a car on a sunday morning
  9. i have tried hammering torx heads and spline bits mate, and it just wont budge :( i thought about getting the angle grinder out, but just dont trust myself to not slip and do some damge to the centre, i also tried a stud extractor with no luck either. what about these?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IRWIN-TOOLS-5p-BO ... 240%3A1318 karl
  10. heres a pic of the offending bolt and heres a pic of one of the alloys i have done minus the polished bolts/stainless steel valve and new centre cap.
  11. i havent got any irwins, but theres not enough head on them when new to actually get anything round the head as they sit in the actual centre of the alloy :( but cheers for the thought Stu.
  12. done 3 of the alloys and i'm well happy with them :D but why is it on the last alloy one of the bolts has just rounded out :censored: all the other 79 have come out with no problems at all :) so how would you suggest i get the last one out?? so far i have use a stud extractor to try and get the whole bolt out in one piece, this did not work and its just f****d up the stud extractor, then thought drill out the top of the bolt get the centre off, and then tackle the remaining bit of bolt, so far i have got through 2 drill bits, even an expensive solid carbide drill  what the hell are these bolts made off?? anyone got any clues what to do next?? (should have left them black) karl

  16. and seeing this had kinda got me thinking of a V1 (i do miss that noise) need to get the car back first though
  17. look at this product from HPA http://www.hpamotorsports.com/cvp.htm i'm liking this. its a short runner for the r32 engine, but when you buy it you can use it as a standard inlet manifold and when you decide on what/how you want to FI it you can choose which side you want the TB on, i have read that it can take upto 34psi
  18. if you ever need a hand give me a shout mate. when's the car going to Steve.
