so you set the timing with the revs at 2500? i completely forgot about revving it up three times, remembered doing that on my pb gti when setting the CO. Thanks Mate

Hi Guys, my mate has just done a cambelt on his rallye. Thing is performance is well down, he mis-timed the dizzy, has retified now. But my question is; to set the ignition timing with a light, do you have to put the ECU in basic setting mode with Vag Com/1551? :roll: Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi all. Just got my Golf G60 edition one-well happy. Not a C i know but you guys are always so helpful :wink: What do you recommend to do first?! Thinking along the lines of sns chip and pulley, filter, exhaust etc... The charger has just been rebuilt so no worries there. Want to do a cambelt before all that though, read some threads about crank/cam pulleys breaking off-worth changin then? Also the brakes are squeaking like hell-doin me nut! What uprated discs/pads do you recommend? Thanks Chaps :lol:

Whats your guys opinions on the best chip and pulley combination? for a currently otherwise standard engine. SNS is looking very appealing at the mo. Spoke to Wayne with the EX Volks-speed motorsport rallye at inters who could'nt praise bilal and the guys enough. Just wondered what you guys preference. Thanks.

Hi all, will hopefully be getting a G60 this weekend, and was wondering the best way to get some noise out of it? I've read a couple of threads sayin BOV's are rubbish on them, so is this boost return/blanking plate mod thing the way to go? If so where can i get the parts and how much? Heard a sound clip on the Pitstop Developments site which sounded ideal :D , is that achieved with this mod? And will it affect the fuel consumption? Any help greatfully appreciated. Thanks

Just wondered if any of you guys have fitted 5x100 wheels to your 4 stud cars? Not sure what to think about adapters?! It should be easy enough on the back, just fit mk3 5 stud discs. But can you swap the hub assemblies from a mk3 or corrado vr on the front? Thanks.

Is there somewhere on the web i can find out what colours they came in? and would it be best to buy a standard one or a modded one? quite facy sum leather 2 but got a funny feeling i'm gonna have trouble?! I would like to start with a clean sheet tbh. Thats how i did my golf, coz that way as mentioned by sum 1 earlier, i can say i done it all :wink: oh, and dint mean the mdf and dynamat wud make it faster- soz. Only trouble is there seems to be a lack of these cars 4 sale! did a national search on autotrader earlier, and it could only come up with 9!!! i was considering a golf g60, but they are a bit dearer and LHD :( So do you reckon a modded rado will keep up with a golf vr6? My mates got 1, with an induction kit and exhaust only, plus loads of dynamat and mdf! i'd be well happy if i could beat that! :D

How quick are they then? (tuned) I work at the local VW dealers but we hardly ever see them. Drove 1 standard 1. didnt think it woz much quicker than my gti?!

Hi all, I'm currently drivin a mk2 golf gti 8v, and am thinkin of changing. I quite fancy a G60 corrado but is the fuel consumption really hideous? i'm gettin about 31mpg out of my golf at the moment with 17's on. If i get one and tune it to about 190-200bhp with 17's on, any ideas wot its gonna be like on fuel? Trouble is i need 2 use it for work everday. And the other thing is i'm only 20. is the insurance gonna kill me? i've got 3yrs NCB and my golf costs me about 600 at the moment. Thanks
