No, they are all coupled to the 4motion set-up mate.

Have you found a lump at your local scrappy?!
  5. I am interested in this also, a mate of mine is after a kit for his Golf
  6. 3rd is when they get going! :thumb right:
  7. TELL ME MORE! 8) I'm interested in this too. Anyone shed some light on it please?
  8. Yes the 9N Polo can be had with a 100 brake PD engine. IF correctly badged an all red TDI badge will be an import 150 brake PD. It was only badged as GTI over here. All red TDI also found on Bora 150 brake PD's. Some of the most popular engine codes for you (in golf IV) AGR = 90 ATD = 100 AHF = 110 AJM = 115 ASZ = 130 ARL = 150
  9. The throttle cable is fine. I'm almost certain it's whatever that is controlling the vacuum pull down unit which is up the shoot.
  10. Anyone else get this e-mail from Harry at supergolfs? The worlds only 'N' registration Rallye Golf. First registered in November 1995. Probably the last Rallye ever made. In gloss black totally original and unmodified. SE spec including climatronic (automatic airconditioning and full electrics). Only 56k miles from new. Price is £7495GBP further details and pictures are on formal request only. Please call 07808 770574. Could this really have been layed up un-registered for 5 odd years?!
  11. Thanks mate. A few good pointers within that lot. I can understand why so many people say they have changed to manual choke webers!!
  12. Hi guys got a prob with my brothers Jetta which is driving him and me mad! Can anyone help?! Basically, the throttle sticks open and the idle stays extremely high (like 2000rpm plus) I swapped the carb with one from the scrappy which ran ok for a day then the same happened. From what I gather there are 3 cold start enrichment devices, the auto choke, the waxstat, and the vacuum pull down unit. I've changed the waxstat ( i now have three carbs for spares! :x ) to no avail. I dont think the auto coke could make it rev that high?! So to the vacuum pull down unit. The rod that comes out of this pushes against the throttle butterfly lever. There are two solenoids on the pull down unit to which the wiring is ok ( I have checked) What I need to know is does the second temp sender control this unit, i.e. when the engine is hot it retracts the rod thus allowing normal idle? Sorry for the long post. Hope someone can help?! Thanks John
  13. They were fairly wide to be honest mate and did slightly foul the door pockets. You would have no problem if you were running speaker pods, or a small amount of adjustment would sort it. Never really bothered me though to be honest. The rear seats needed bolting together then I bolted them to a steel cross piece which I welded between the strut tops. The bench bolted down with the existing mounts and some body screws.
  14. Some of you may have already seen this but thought I would post it up anyway. I think it looks stunning. What do you guys reckon?
  15. The wiper motors are prone to seizing up on Golfs mate. You prob need a new one.
  16. You can't put induction kits on the valvers because of the metering heads can you?!?!?
  17. The arm is a piece of cake to fit. You just need to drill out the hole where it bolts down onto the splines a bit until it fits. Then drop the tailgate trim panel and move the arm down to where it sits against the screen. Instructions for lay-flat wiper are on http://www.matey-matey.com 8)
  18. Thanks for the nice comments guys. :D The rear wiper is a Fiat Punto item. It is an 8V, never really been a 16V lover. I sold it to my girlfriend at the time who still has it. I'm still insured on it and have it back occasionally. Do really miss it, spent a hell of a lot on that car :( I fitted the seats only a few months before I sold it, took me ages to get in, but I haven't seen another one with those seats in yet 8)
  19. Thanks. The interior is from a MK4 1.8T. Was a bit of work to get in, but well worth the effort IMO.
  20. Just trying out posting pics, so here is a couple of my old Mk2 GTi 8)
  21. What engine polo is it mate? Most of the Polo head gaskets can be done in just over an hour. Piece of cake :)
  22. Have been with Adrian Flux for 2 and a bit years now. HIC consistenly come up with a lower quote, but then Adrain Flux always beat it to keep your business! :D Works for me!
