luckily I didn't have to pay a penny for my new one as I claimed directly off the woman's insurance who went into the back of me, so it didn't even get recorded as a claim with my insurance. 8)

make sure they fit the lower screen trim back on before the adhesive sealant has set, as the plastic trim that is attached to the side of the screen rests on the lower trim and prevents it from dropping down, if it is done correctly the outer rubber trim should fit without the need for adhesive but it's not uncommon for the rubber trim to be bonded on.

well the price on the reciept for mine was £649 and that was 3 years ago.

well i pick up the pick-up early next week, needs a few little bits sorting out on it, but overall its not bad, its on a set to TSW catalunya's with black centers and polished lips and its pretty low on eibach suspension, might have to raise it a bit as it's not really practical as a pick-up at the moment :) will post up some pics next week of this nutty vehicle.

 the guy who has this one lives just up the road from me and has had it for a while, his was the first i had seen and i said to him when he bought it, if he ever wanted to sell it let me know first. but i agree a 1.8 turbo would be a fun prospect 8) it appears to be the same 1.6 petrol engine as my mates polo mk3 variant estate has in it, and it seems to go quite well, it's a 2000 model so Skoda should have been using vw bits by then shouldnt they? edit: found this on wikipedia The Felicia's line-up included the old 1.3 L OHV Škoda units, now with Bosch Mono Motronic single-point fuel injection (up until 1997), and Siemens multi-point fuel injection with two power outputs of 54 hp (40 kW) and 68 hp (50 kW). There was also two engines sourced from VW: a 75 hp (55 kW) 1.6 L petrol engine with Magneti Marelli multi-point fuel injection and a 64 hp (47 kW) 1.9 diesel. ooooh 75 hp

just been offered a Skoda Felicia Fun for a decent price, I have to say I love the mad style of it even if it is a pickup, what other car has frogs with crowns on the seat fabric, yellow leather interior and a pair of extra seats that fold out of the back? :cuckoo: I know it has the same 1.6 petrol engine as the polo but is there anything I need to look out for? anyone on here have any experience with them?

like he said^^^^ but if you really have to fit 6x9's, buy or build a good solid mdf shelf, its a waste of time fitting speakers to such a flimsy surface. If its sagging in the middle it's quite likely something heavy has been put on it as they dont tend to sag on thier own, they have metal rails running through them so it might be worth trying to gently bend it straight again.

the bushes don't seem to be available seperately but if you can get it apart and remove the bushes it might be worth asking your local bearing supplier if they can do a set of bearings or bushes to fit, thats what i did with my heater blower motor, runs so much smoother and is silent now, failing that keep your eyes peeled on ebay as the spoiler mechs and motors turn up on there from time to time.

if you are handy with a soldering iron, just get a pair of standard bulbs, smash the glass out of them and solder the bases on to the LED lamps.
-
seems like a bargain, that is the same kit they sell in machine mart for £28.74 here just rebranded. I have had the clarke version and its fine, i would recommend a proper dremmel diamond disk though.

yeah its usually the wiring to the top side of the lambda connector, not the lamda side of the plug, the wiring attached to the lambda is quite flexible so doesn't tend to break.
-
check the lambda wiring at the connectors that are attached to the rear engine mount, if any of them are broken it may be overfueling as there is no signal from the lambda, this would cause the sooty exhaust and make it feel a little restricted but it should still pull well on full throttle.

the mate of mine with the golf was told that he hadn't tightened the plugs up enough so over the course of 40k miles they had jiggled loose and worn away the threads to the point they just blew out, he said his dad told him to only tighten them hand tight, he hadn't even compressed the crush washer on the new plugs. :cuckoo:

quite common, and not really worth much unless they are mint or mirror polished, have seen them go for 50 quid for tatty ones up to 200 quid for polished ones. depends on condition and if they come with decent tyres.
-
if they are wide flat 5 spokes, they are probably Estorils, there are a couple of versions of them, some have a little groove around the end of the spokes some don't, some have a cut and laquered face others are just painted.

the twin nautilus one they do for £29 is the exact same one I bought for a fiver from van fest, they sell them at all the main dub shows, they come with a relay and a really badly translated set of instructions  but you dont need the relay on a corrado.

you can get long helicoil taps and insertion tools to do this sort of thing, most decent garages should have them, you just need to make sure that any swarf is removed from the bore after it's been tapped out, a vacuum with a bit of tube on the end should do the job. I know someone with a VR golf that had to have a helicoil done so it is possible with the head in place, cost him 150 quid and took them about 1/2 an hour.

If you want a seriously loud horn try www.hornblasters.com or check out some of the horn blasters video's on youtube, there is a guy on there with the fog horn from an oil tanker, it makes the camera shake about 100ft away
-
I bought one of those nautilus compact twin air horns from an aircooled show a few months ago after the low tone horn on mine gave up (sounded like a peugeot), they fit on the standard bracket and are a big improvement over the standard ones. can get them for a fiver at most aircooled shows, although halfrauds do them for about 20 quid.

 I can't see a 3rd brake light in that pic? Although i will have to keep my eyes open for that car as im working in that area of Dubai on sunday.
-
Do you mean a Radiator or a corrado? there is no reason you can't get a good example of a corrado from any private listing, just have a look on the buyers guide on here, familiarise yourself with what to look out for and then have a look at a few different cars, or if you don't feel confident there may be someone on here willing to go with you to look at a car.

Yep, not sided, so they should be fine as a pair.
