  1. what are you using to set the boost?
  2. your torque plot starts earlier than mine - mine only kicks off at 3k. they are 4 plots overlaid btw
  3. just checked the website and not a word of any delays.
  4. well he is obviously content to take peoples money. if it was a genuine problem he would stop taking orders. i hate people that do this
  5. who cares what issues he has 8weeks is taking the piss!
  6. vw corrado - the mow of your life!
  7. no idea but when i got one it shows up dimmer than the other bulb so worth investigating :) Im sure even VW couldnt charge much for them and then it would be the right one for sure.
  8. id like to think 200+ most 2L turbos are around 200bhp std so a Turbo Technics one should be good if its a hybrid etc :)
  9. nah it goes into the back of the clocks unit. easy peasy to remove.
  10. yeah Im not *that* worried about the power but i think my torque plot show a severe lack of grunt at low revs. and I wanna know why :(
  11. ok here are the plots: the heavy line is my car. the two wick ones are my car before the carbonio and decat and the best one is mikes. the torque plot really shows the difference.
  12. jesus where does one start? 1. get leather. absolutely 100% get leather. 2. LEs and Pluses are like storms - not real differences bar some cosmetics 3. dont trust fiat dealers - they are w@nkers. end of 4. check for any fraying around the aux belt (visibile with bonnet open). if its frayed walk away 5. get your finger in around the manifold heat shield. if its covered in soot walk away. (new manifold req £300+vat) 6. check oil pressure - should be up around 3bar (might drop a little on idle) so if you buy one: 1. get a greddy boost controller - profec B or similar - TRANSFORMS the car into a monster. 2. get the black sidestrips colour coded asap. 3. get it lowered - eibachs are superb 4. watch for the aux belt fraying - it jumps across the wheel and hits the timing belt = ££££££££ 5. watch oil pressure When these cars are good they are DAMN good but when they go they go in style! cambelt change CAN be easily done with engine in. a lot of places wont do it tho (chickens) so find a good specialist. if you can get a good lowmiler ot one just having had the belts done then it will blow your socks off (will kill a corrado even in std form). handling is fine. here is a pic of my old one:
  13. oh yeah  was up at Davys and got the plots printed off. if its not something wrong with my car then Im getting a ported TB too ;) at 3k revs the diff is 20bhp  seems the MAF can go a little bit showing bad mpg and lastlustre performance then the next level is total fecked. that one i showed you is the latter :)
  14. both cars have similar induction and rims
  15. lol thats all id need :) Im gonna go get the plots printed tonight so more info to follow !!
  16. cant say I notice anything like that dr_mat,
  17. yeah the peak isnt the problem it seems lazy to get there. now one option is that mikes mods are really working and thats the difference but Id imagine they should be fairly similar.
  18. forgot to say vagcom is clean. and the co2 readings fine.
  19. had my car on the rollers last week with Mikes from the forum. my mods: carbonio intake decat his mods: ss exhaust turn2 intake fse now we both peaked at near exactly the same figure (186bhp @ fly / 164 or so @ wheels) but his power came on earlier than mine meaning his car was more eager at lower revs. this is backed up by a 3rd gear roling start side by side where he gets away from me then it evens off. The RR guy was sure its the MAF being a bit suspect but we swapped MAFs last night and there was no difference in feel at all. Im gonna go get the overlaid plots tonight and will post them but looking for any suggestioons at this point :) cheers -pablo
