just had my vr6 on ramp today and was shocked to see how much play was in the rear wheels on taking the wheels off and removing the split pin for the nuts i was further shocked to find i could remove them with my fingers i had them tightened properly on the tappered stud but i hate to think what would have happened if i had not have checked them

absolutley agree mate at this time of year the last thing you want to hear is a tap, tap, tap when driving down a narrow street it ruins it for me by the way i will be in soton on the 18th might see you then

i am really peed off i have just spent a grand replacing the timing chains ,clutch had the head skimmed. when i picked it up i have a really noisy tappet on the l/h front of the head. am i better off putting a thinner oil like 0 40 or a thicker one like 15 40 to help quiet it down dont really want to spend more money to get the tappets replaced

i have a slight missfire on my vr6, does not make any difference what the engine speed is, but as soon as you touch the throttle it missfires slightly, also does it when letting the throttle off. recently changed ht leads any ideas?

thanks alby i will check that out

nearly forked out £200 for a set of speedlines because mine are pitted and most of the paint has flaked off, and i am glad i didnt because i have just had them refurbished by a mobile guy based in tiverton. he removed all the tyres and made a fantastic job of them, you would be had pressed to tell the difference between them and a new set. and it cost me under £200
