Finally had a chance of some daylight to have a proper look at where they're rubbing - on the split rim bolts(only just) Do you think your idea could help Kev ? Can you explain how to do this. OR has anyone else had the same prob and know where i can get shorter bolts OR is cutting them down a bad idea?

Gavin, were you aware that once you've got the visa you have to make an 'initial' entry into the country within 6 months? Don't understand why they make us do this, basically, the visa won't be valid until its been stamped at the airport. I'm off to get it sorted Feb the 12th. So keep some ££ for a flight ! Good luck, the medical was a joke but they were fussy about the chest x-ray. Also me and keystarG60 will be having a loom each, headlights are aweful !!

I mean they are 17'' x 9'' on the front and 17'' x 9.5'' on the back in the VR6 PCD fitment of 5x100 but i don't know the et (offset) I think its a G60 with VR6 hubs, the arches have been pulled 1''.

That would REALLY p1ss me off, feel bad for you. Just hate the attitude of some people, they couldn't give fork about other peoples cars or whatever, had careless parkers where i used to live, went too sleep with one eye open every night! Get a garage, it releives so much stress and worry !!

Its also worth bearing in mind that even if the ET looks to be in your favour, due to the design of some rims , they still may not fit. I've just found this out the hard way, and believe me i asked enough questions and read enough old threads ! Mine are 7x16 et25 (G60). Took me months to hunt these rims down only to find that the front wheels rub on the calipers. Thought et25 would of been perfect, or at least i didn't want to go any lower than that, just hope i don't have to space them out too much, or maybe i can grind a bit of my calipers, not keen on that idea though. Also, HENNY, what profile tyres do you have on your 16''s ? 40 or 45 ?

Cheers Gavin, they're et25 so i didn't think i would have any hassle, pretty sure they hit the calipers cos i could see where they had rubbed the dust off them. think i'll have another go, maybe it was a weght (i hope)

Quick pic of my new wheels. Just tryed them on and realised the fronts are rubbing on the calipers. Anyone else had this trouble with RS or RM and know what spacers i'll need ?

Sorry OSV !! Missed your post typing the last one! Thanks for your help anyways. The rims are RS 003's, 7x16 with polished outer lips and gold bolts. I'm gonna have the suspension done before they go on, so i can get it all set up properly at the same time. Will update pics in the members gallery.

Oh yeah that does aswell !! Oh well, i do like the new description title piece though. Or at least i did !!

Continental Sport Contact 2 in the size 195/40/16 Just got my BBS RS' from Ebay.de, they've got brand new tyres like these but i can't find anywhere who stocks them in this size. Just curious to know how much they are.
