    ABS Sensor

Can some one tell me where the rear ABS sensor lead connecting plug is located please? I presumed it would be at the top of the strut housing but I don't want to start stripping interior trim randomly. Thanks

    ABS Sensor

I grabbed one from GSF Delphi Technologies. They said it was a Quality part...... At under £20 quid with the click and collect discount I didn't argue.
  5. Can anyone recommend a decent Auto Electrician, hopefully with good knowledge of VW's Based in Warwickshire so somewhere in this area or West Midland etc. Thanks!

    ABS Sensor

That's what I thought, thanks. I ordered one and later that day came across an old thread stating that the sensor with a higher resistance would be the broken one, so it made me wonder. I was going to remove it in the morning. Any tips on how to remove please?

    Rear coilovers

Thx Simeon Been so busy didn't notice this. I have found other issues that need sorting, so I am just going to bite the bullet and buy new parts all round. The Prosports are a reasonable price and are what's fitted atm. They are not the greatest of quality but will get me out of the whole I'm in. Cheers
  12. Yes it is, G60 J reg non Air Con. (Sorry for late response, been really busy with work)
  13. Thanks you all for the good advice. I will do as suggested and renew the other parts as well. Got to get my hands on a rad yet, but I got stitched at work with some long gruelling shifts and have had to put it all on the back burner for a few days. I know that there is the 3 pin sender that fits in to the radiator, but is there any other water temp sensors I need to consider on the car please guys? I
  14. Ok thanks for the advice Keyo. I will make some calls in the morning and see what is available. Thank you all!!
  15. Any idea who makes the VW Heritage version by chance? My heart wants to wait and buy from there, so that way if there is any issues with the flange they have no real excuse and I can send it all back to them. Having said that I don't want to possibly pay another 50 quid over the odds.
  16. That's getting a bit more palatable Will be a busy day on the phone tomorrow I fear. Thank you chaps!!
  17. I've never heard of these before. yesparts have a website and shop so I will ring them tomorrow and see if can wangle some sort of deal out of them.
  18. Yes, thanks Cressa, Keyo has prompted me to start digging around a bit.
  19. 3 units or more @ £112.00 anyone want a group buy? Thanks for the link Keyo
  20. When you say "crack pipe" what part do you mean mate?
  21. Hi Keyo Number on the box I have is 88MK 376 713-334 The ebay spec picture matches the vwspares listing so it does look like the correct one. It's another option so thanks for the link. First off I will ask EP if they can get that part number (doubt it), and then I guess ask VW Heritage how long before they get stock. I shall make a decision from there unless anyone else can come to the rescue in the meantime. Thanks again!
  22. I ordered a Hella rad from Euro spares as they had a 55% sale on. I've just picked it up and discovered it's wrong. The box is listed for Golf Mk1 Mk2. There was no picture on the website so I took the gamble. VW Heritage have non in stock, so I've just checked vwspares and they list the non air conditioned as no longer available. Do you (or anybody else) know where I might be able to purchase a rad from please? Thanks for the reply.
  23. I decided to order a rad last night. it is pointless messing around, a bit upsetting over a bit of plastic but there you go. Thanks for the input guys :thumbleft:
  24. It is a VW part yes. It does feel as if the seal makes contact when I push the flange in to place but the way it leaks the same amount with either the new or old seal in place makes me think that fendervg is correct in saying the bottom section is warped. Dang it! Thank you all for the replies.
  25. I fitted a new top flange on my radiator and now it is leaking 100 times worse. I had a very very slight leak from the joint and thought it would be best to fix so I bought a new flange and seal from VW Heritage. Now it is literally pouring out (albeit slow) and it seems that there is no seal contact at all. The seal they supplied looks a smaller diameter and different profile than the one removed from the car. I tried the old seal with the new flange but it was the same result. Is there a silicone type sealer I can use to try and get this sealed? There was no type of sealer on the old flange I removed, but I removed the flange from and old rad I had in the garage and that one had some kind of thin layer of silicone sealer. Any ideas/help please chaps?
