Is part no. same / compatible for all spoiler controllers ?
BigTartanJudge replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Interior
Cheers Riley, so I take it the part number of your one / the one you have fitted is 535 919 845B (or Mph Up to M chassis) ? Also I take it mine being on a 1992 J plate, I would need a late-style connector one and would it make any difference if if fitted one that worked in KPH instead of MPH ? -
AFAIK, there were 3 official VW 16VG60 Corrado's built and one was written off by a VW employee on a test-drive, one remains in the VW collection and the other was sold a while back.

Hi mate, Here's my white rado with DIY half-tinted rear lights, I think they look ace ;-) and here with FK smoked rears
-
The large loss was mainly due to RR the car on 9x16" wheels (which was all I had at the time) and worn gearbox / clutch. Also, remeber that losses at wheels can range from 15-30 %, and it depends on type of RR being used etc and their accuracy.
-
nah wasn't meaning you andy ;-)
-
Or you can buy the FK crystal smoked ones.

245.5 BHP at flywheel, 175.5 BHP at wheels, 200 ft-LBS torque (this was with a worn gearbox, slipping clutch, no lsd and running 9x16" wheels all round) [This was when engine was fitted in my white rado G60, now in my blue one]. PG Corrado engine block RS G-lader conversion with upgraded apex seals and bearings 65 mm alloy pulley SNS Stage 5.5 custom chip Schrick 268-276 degree asymmetrical camshaft with Piper adjustable vernier pulley lightened and balanced G60 flywheel lightened and balanced knife-edged crank Pace Products custom fabricated front-mounted intercooler custom 2.5

Something you want to tell us mate ? ;-)

I believe someone from here might be interested in buying it........and no it's not me ;-)

Alright guys, mariojoshi and flusted, by using the bulbs in that link, do you still need to fit resistors, as the eBay ad says they work at 12V ?? Cheers
-
I'll possibly have them off ya mate, just waiting on a reply about abother set of bulbs, will let you know ASAP, Cheers

Hey all, My girlfriends mates dad works in the local BMW dealership and I got him to get me a brochure of the new BMW 1-Series coupe, after I had a 1-Series 120d as a hire car when I was in France recently (well it was only 3-quid a day more expensive than a bl**dy Peugeot 107 1-litre 3 cylinder tin-box, so would have been rude not to !). Trouble is, ever since I showed an interest in it, the dealership has been pretty KEEN shall we say, to get me in for a test-drive, or even a weekend with it, telling me all about the various finance packages, options available etc. LOL ! I think they look really nice and remind me of the old 2002 series. All of the big motoring progs, reviewers and magazines have raved about it, especially handling and engine. They are no slouch either, the 135i M-Sport (straight-six twin-turbo engined) makes the 0-62 mph in 5.2 secs and has 306 BHP and 297 ft-lbs torque (available from just 1300 rpm) as standard. It has the same engine as the 3-Series 335i M-Sport, but the 1-Series is quicker. In fact, the 1-Series is nearly as quick as the M3 due to power to weight ratio (135i M-Sport kerb-weight is 1460 kgs and e92 M3 Coupe is 1711 kgs) and costs over £22,000 less than the M3...... Think I would be having either a black or white one with red leather interior; think white looks good though with the wheels below.

Which colour option for refurb of WORK split-rims ?
BigTartanJudge replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Exterior
Well I guess if someone was wanting to buy them and were willing to pay me a deposit I could have them refurbed to the spec the buyer wanted, but yes probably they would be best refurbed to how they looked when new i.e. fully polished. I was going to have them refurbed so I could put them on a VR6 or other 5x100 car but I am not going down this route now, so instead of having them sitting here doing nowt I thought it would be better to have them refurbed, and sell them on together with adapters. Cheers -
Which colour option for refurb of WORK split-rims ?
BigTartanJudge replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Exterior
Cheers Bill, they are actually 5x114.3 but I am getting custom 15mm adapters made up to make them 5x100PCD fitment. They are 7 and 8 x 16" in size and ET is around 35/38 IIRC. Will be looking for a fair bit for them if I decide to sell once refurbed as they are no longer made  They are 3-piece WORK Equip split rims. Am in the process of stripping them downat the moment to be sent away to get refurbed. -
Evening all, I have a set of these which I am planning on getting refurbed soon, potentially with a view to selling, as it's unlikely I will have something to fit them to after my G60 is finished. I basically am undecided on which of the two options I have considered for the refurb: Option 1: Fully high polished inner and outer rims, with new stainless bolts (centre-caps also fully polished OR centre-caps painted in black then polished so just the WORK logo / lettering is detailed in black) Option 2: Centres powdercoated / sprayed in gloss or metallic (?) black with fully polished outer rims, with new stainless bolts (centre-caps also fully polished OR centre-caps painted in black then polished so just the WORK logo / lettering is detailed in black) Just looking for some feedback on what people reckon on each option, which might look better etc. Cheers

Don't know about how they calculate the drag figure, and seem to remember they said the bump was due to the split duration cam, i.e. that was where the duration changed or where it "came on cam". The RR was done by reputable company up here in Scotland and their RR is fully digital and meant to be pretty accurate.

Anyone purchased the ARZ Tuning 'chrome' Corrado badge?
BigTartanJudge replied to Leonard's topic in Exterior
So to sum up, neither the chrome / brushed-satin effect "Corrado" script rear (corresponds to the original VW part number 535853687GRU; ARZ Item #: ARZECH01), "VR6" rear (corresponds to the original VW part number 3A0853675Z10; ARZ Item #: xc1029) or the "VR6" grille badge (corresponds to the original VW part number 3A0853679BZ10; ARZ Item #: xc1030) are still available from the stealers, however, reproduction items are ALL available from ARZ-tuning here: http://www.corrado-teile.de/shop/index. ... tml/page/1 Cheers -
My figures were 245.5BHP and 200 ft-lbs torque at flywheel, at wheels was 175.5BHP and can't remember torque at wheels figure. Needless to say, I reckon the huge loss was down to the wheels and worn gearbox (wheels esp) I think. Am looking for 250+BHP and 220-230 ft-lbs torque when she is finished. I have vid of her doing these figs in the rollers and here is the RR print-out. Not bad for 65mm pulley and still standard bottom end.
-
Sorry, but I really like them tbh, looks quite mean and purposeful.

And the VR6 grille badge is no longer available from the stealers either AFAIK. -
Sounds interesting, although 450 PS from a twin-turbo V8 is not that much I would have thought tbh, considering the RS4 is 426 PS from an NA 4.2L V8 ?? Although, I guess the RS5 might use the detuned 359 PS 4.2L V8 from the top-of-the-range S5 with a couple of turbo's.

Hi mate, pretty good figures, what is it making a the wheels ? I lost quite a bit through my drivetrain, but the last time it was RR'd I had 9x16" wheels fitted and a worn gearbox / clutch. I have the Schrick split-duration asymmetrical cam (268-276) fitted to mine. I am making a little more power, but around the same in torque. My new gearbox should help a little, along with the water injection and custom remap, to both increase the torque figures and reduce the drivetrain losses.

Cool, have a spare set of crystal M3 rear lights so will give that a go, how have you got the indicators to flash orange, by using green bulbs or have you not bothered with this / used some other method ?
-
Hi mate, Loving the changes, looks so much better tbh. Also, how did you go about doing the all red rear lenses ? Are they sprayed using tinting spray or is it plastic film ? Cheers
