I've lost the window closure on my 95 vr. Windows/roof still work via the interior switches. If I lock the car with the key, central locking works but windows/roof don't close. When I arm the alarm all it does is beep and not lock the doors or close windows/roof, yet when I disarm the alarm it unlocks the doors/boot. :cuckoo: Is there a relay somewhere that controls the window closure of the total closure feature? All fuse are ok, including the one above the main bank of fuses. Hope some one can be of help, as I keep arming the alarm and walking away, thinking that I've locked the car.

Lived in Manchester for 2 months and not seen one, until today. Just seen my second of the day, white 'G' reg coming out of morrisons in Swinton. On foot so I didn't wave.
-
Exchanged waves  with driver of a blue corrado outside Heaton Park, Manchester today at about 3.00 this afternoon.
-
Yep that'll be me  Unfortunately it does have a tow bar :( I've got a different no plate to the sig picture now too It's N16K **

Have you checked the window/central locking fuse? It's on it's own above the main bank of fuses, most people don't know it's there.
-
Do your windows work? If not it is probably just a fuse gone. Check the fuse on its own above the bank of fuses. Worth a try , and free :D

The next meet is on Sunday 12th October at 2.00 at the old corn mill
-
I might go to their next meet if there's going to be a couple more corrados there. I don't usually go to many of them. It was me who posted the reply on Huddersfield VAG forum.

Look in the knowledge base for info on changing heater matrix. Not too hard to do, just takes time. Did mine in about 3 or 4 hours, and I'm no mechanic.

Looks like you had some fun there Pete. Some twitchy driving from the BMW driver though. -
If the doors're the same as the VR6 (which I'm sure they are) there are 2 small screws on the door edge (below door catch) and 1 on the front edge (above hinge). Door pin needs to be unscrewed, take the cover off door handle (door pull) and there are 2 screws inside it. Remove cover from door catch (interior opening thing). There is also a screw behind door handle that you'll see when it's removed. Now the sneaky one, remove the speaker grill, and you'll find a screw in there that needs to be removed too. Not necesary the right order, but that's where they all are, well on mine it is. If you're changing the drivers handle it has a LEFT HAND thread on the screw the holds it on. Good luck

I'd make sure that the engine is supported underneath, as when I changed mine the engine dropped slightly. One of the bolts goes to engine mount and wouldn't "bite" as I tried to screw it back in. Had to jack up engine while trying to refit it, one of those jobs where you really need 3 hands :confused4:

Think a few people have had cars from him. He's in Huddersfield, (where I live). From what I've heard, he deals online from a lock up type unit, not a garage as such.
-
Think you'll have to take the door card of and see if it's come off its runners. One of the plastic lugs which connect winder mechanism to the window runner (below glass) keeps popping off mine from time to time. Annoying but easy to fix.

Bl**dy hell, how did you spot and photo that from a moving car? Have you posted it in "corrado spotting"?
-
The exhaust heat shield hasn't come loose has it? Mine did and sounded like you describe

Like them wheels though :D :D :D -
Don't think both windows work at the same time on any corrado. Usually on mine (95 VR6), when I use the alarm to close windows, passenger one closes first. Does the same when I use the key to close them. Also don't think they are one touch closing windows, as IIRC it's a safety thing so you can't trap hands, kids etc stuck in them

Help! VR6 won't start - Manchester - Now Fixed!

The fuel filter is underneath the sill on drivers side towards the rear of car. To test if it's blocked, undo the fuel pipe going towards the engine, then try starting the engine. Fuel should come out. BEWARE!!! its under some pressure so no smoking etc, and don't try for too long as you will end up with fuel everywhere. Also be careful of the vultures after any spilled fuel
