I might have over estimated the stage 1 - 260bhp? Depends where you read.

Good choice, I would take the GTI over the R any day ... 1) Less likely to get stolen 2) Smaller turbo so spools up quicker and more linear to drive 3) Over 100kilo's lighter 4) More heritage and imo they look a lot nicer. 5) GTI handles really well, for me the main benefit of the 4wd is for quick launches but that's not something I'd partake in. As for remap stage 1 shouldn't cause you any problems and that will get you to around 310 bhp. I'm not sure if Vince @ Stealth tunes these newer cars on the rolling road? Personally I'd want a map matched and tuned to my car rather than a generic revo/superchips etc. and I know Stealth will do a proper job. Pictures please when you're ready :)

Hi, I've got a couple of uniroyal rainsports on the front (Bridgestones ont the back). They grip well and don't feel soft to drive on. Limited experience to compare against on the Corrado but I did have the Bridgestones up front and the Uniroyals at the rear for a while and don't notice any difference. That said uniroyals are known for having a softer tyre wall, however reviews and experiences read elsewhere state the compliance helps when pushing on in real life vs overly stiff tyres, Give them a try? There is not much choice these days.

Indeed, I smell a troll. The kit I purchased was great and when I contacted customer service as I didn’t receive the original item in the post the sent me out another, received the next day.

I don't think I could entertain those suspenion turrets! My car has a layer of wax over them (and other metal work in the bay) so i'm suprised to see it's rusting there.

Tut tut. Jim clearly didn't want to take the pi$h and I just hope he was happy with what he got. Aroon (Harry) seller is taking the pi$h in our enthusiast and know what stuff costs eyes, but he might sell it for close to that and if he does then prices are undervalued in some circles.

Indeed, my own drives much nicer with regular use! That said I've not used it for 2-3 weeks and now the battery is flat though :( Must find that draw at somepoint - dies after a week of being left. -

Good advice on Amos given. These wings are a nightmare to source. Good luck, but something will turn up - a chap was looking recently and managed to get a couple within a weeks. Are you using facebook? Might get a wider coverage on your search.

Yes I used one to great effect on my steering wheel and gear knob - see my thread for detail and pictures. It was really easy to do and both feel great in the hand now. Car felt old with the tatty old finish prior. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?108687-My-Candy-White-VR6/page3

Good work, I didn't have the confidence to tackle chains on mine so sending it in to Stealth. I'm having them do the same as you're thinking, head refurb, new head gasket but naturally if the cylinders are fecked then I'll consider other options. I've fitted the B12 kit (remember to get revised rear springs - see my members ride thread for full details!). It's a great set up on the Corrado.

Good question, I should have elaborated on my reply - as you're taking the wishbone off you'll probably need to crack off the ball joint and anti-roll bar drop links - so you'd may as well replace these too. You can get complete wishbone arms with the new bushes fitted. Might be an easier way to tackle, but you'll probably not find one with the R32 bushes pre-installed. I was going to do the job and analysed it in some detail but decided to let the garage do it with some other work as my driveway slopes making it difficult to get both wheels on the front axle at the same time. I wanted to replace the ARB bushes and both wheels needed to be off the ground to do it.

It depends how the system has been set up. We have a process where old emails are no longer available in outlook but we have an archiving piece of software (mimecast) where we can login and get emails all the way back to years and years ago. Maybe you guys have something similar - so yes it goes from outlook after 180 days but emails are available in archiving software. I’d be surprised if your company deleted them as the information can be called up in the future for many things - HR stuff, legal stuff - hence why only write business relevant stuff on work emails (note for anyone reading - not you Rob)

If it's MS Outlook (the application) and you've got the deleted email to hand, click properties (or hit ALT and ENTER as a short cut). Look at the modified date and this will equal when it was deleted, assuming it wasn't modified after it was deleted.

Wishbone would need to be removed and old bushes pressed out. It is possible to do this at home with some circular hole drill cutters to press out (see youtube ). I've gone for the R32/LCR bush upgrade (to be fitted in june). These are solid rubber rather than the originals that have cut outs in the bush, not a still as poly but a supposed upgrade on any non LCR/R32 car where the bush is the same size. Part No Meyle (HD) 100 407 0073/HD about 12 quid each

Did you go for resonated or non-res? I am really tempted to just get it done. I've listened to a sound clip of the non-res Milltek on youtube and it sounds great. The bottom end is pretty strong on these, fingers crossed you'll be just fine. I'm unsure whether my head has been off but do have a small oil leak from the headgasket at the rear of the engine (under mainfold) that can't be traced back to the rocker so maybe it has been done (badly) or is needed. I shall find out in June! It must be nice to have something to drive that's now known to be in fine health.

Well I'm now booked in for early June at Stealth, but I'm not going to go as far as you (he says haha) as have chains, head refurb and clutch as primary jobs which will take dent out of the budget. Will do suspension anf engine bushes, track rods, driveshafts, brakes, abs pump... I like your exhaust. Tempted! ... plus exhaust then.

Yes that’s right I have an even gap all the way round. Front did settle quicker. Good the see a comparison with the H&R spring and confirms that rear springs would ace dropped the rear by around 50mm vs the front’s 25mm.

Excellent job, looks great! How did you find the eibach’s in the end? I am looking forward to getting all my bushes replaced (thanks for posting the parts you’ve purchased in other threads - made my life much easier)!

Hmm maybe. My car has had a dinitrol treatment underneath on all of these parts (except fan) and although not as good I might be spending for the sake of it. Does look lovely though.
