  2. My cars going in for a major over haul soon pretty much got the parts together , Eibaxh springs plus bilstein b4 on all corners , all top mounts and bushes , drop links , also got a front suspension refresh kit which includes mounts wishbones and ball joints . Also got a new Milltek exhaust and cat , mass and o2 sensor and more that I’m not going to bore you with , can’t wait to see the difference , the ride at the moment with koni and h a r is dog rough they must be shot .
  3. Jammy git ! Im pretty happy with the £60 for how much it improved the engine bay, I did my R129 and it was flipping £160 does have a long bonnett though . I just purchased PVc to selnoid hose bit of rubber for Rado part 021133518H , pretty ****ed off about that though £90 odd quid for a bit of rubber ! P.s for bolts for the engine bay I recommend Hortons seat bloody loads cheaper then anyone else and has most of the hard bolts to find.
  4. Ill take a pic tomorrow and post it on here if I get the chance.
  5. It does look slightly different agreed , I was very pleased with the quality though of the stuff I got you woldnt be disappointed at all and has the adhesive backing, also cheaper then Sprinter if he has any left .
  6. That sprinter is the same stuff I got from Germany its £60 inclding postage but only showing 1 item left.
  7. Where do you get the sprinter version from ? Thanks
  8. Well worth doing mate and a good clean of the engine bay, change some of the panel bolts and yuoull be prod to flash your engine bay ha ! P.s put a sheet over your engine bay to grab all the old insulation when you strip it, does come off really easy.
  9. Hi, Corrado Vr6 1996 N reg Can anyone help please . My cam sensor reataining alum key bolt is looking chewed up / stripped. Could not fit new sensor today part number cam sensor 021907601A . Looked on oempc and gave the part number for a bolt N 01021527 but is a bolt and mine is an alum key bolt at the moment. Could anyone advise or give correct part number . Cheers.
  10. Do not get the VW Heritage Insulation, its like a disguting black pvc that is not even cut to size, I wasted my money on that first was really disappointed.
  11. Hi mate, Ordered this of German ebay a fewm months back, great quality and comes with a peel back adhesive , this is for the facelift corrado. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-D%C3%A4mmmatten-f%C3%BCr-Motorhaube-mit-Facelift-Buckel-nach-oben-t-10mm/292461571372?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  12. Mind you I think the spring plates will be ok because the car has Koni and H and r springs fitted at the moment, but were installed in 2003 so now past there shelf life or Im getting old and cant deal with the harsh drive..
  13. Hadnt really seen that kit to be honest looks good but maybe a bit harder drive then I would wish for been the sports version. I'm not sure if I need to change the spring plates as have a late version however it says you need to on the B12 kit not sure about the springs I have ordered E8513-140 . .
  14. Thanks for detailed reply. The Heater Matrix was fixed in the last 2 years it says on receipt sent off too specialist for repair (not sure why they didnt buy a new one when there are loads on ebay ??????) It cost £650 there abouts mostly for labour I guess. . The Heater resistor pack had x 3 repairs over 2 years not sure why they didnt buy a new Resitor pack are they unavailable???? My blower speed control is not working on 2 , 4 is fine so god knows. Looks like the hardest thing to fix is the bowden cable .
  15. Thanks for the reply. Would you disconnet the positive/red cable first in such an incident ? I wonder why one of the fuses didnt prevent this. I have an interest in this because I have purchased a VR6 a couple of months back and I noticed there was three different reciepts over two years detailing repair (not new) to heater resistor pack and also new heater motor, at present no 2 setting is not working on fan and also only hot air blowing windscreen and cold heat in all other direction settings, also for some reason cant move the air direction switch all the way up to windscreen screen , so having a bit of a mare ha
  16. Just trying to get my head round what caused this poor chaps fire, when he says HVAC is that the air conditioning ? Can anyone speculayte in laymans temrs what happened and about diconnecting the battery ? Cheers.
  17. Hi all, Anyone running Eibach 25mm/30mm lowering springs with bilstein b4 shocks? I have these on order but after reading on here some posts saying B4 riding rough with lowering springs on VR6. Anyone have this combo at the moment and can comment on ride. Have this same combo on a R129 SL500 and the comfort and stance is excellent hopr the Rado has the same outcome. Cheers.
  18. Might have been modified by a previous owner, I have the chrome badges but think the red looks better .
  19. It is true what you say but I use my corrado every day and really dont mind changing the parts for peace of mind as the car is over 20 years old so they wont have long life left, also will maintain the value of the car, but like you mentioned not a cheap way of doing things and probably a bit ocd.
  20. Thankfully I have ordered the blue temp sensor VW OEM from parts international.
  21. Is it worth replacing the two sensors either side of the blue sensor? That does sound like a good price I think I need to do my seal Valves to.
  22. I would say you are probably spot on with your prediction , Im near Birmingham anyone know a good place to get the injectors cleaned in that area. I would say mine have never been serviced either. So I have purchased Blue temp 025906041A OEM VW O ring and clip FPR 4 Bar Bosch 078133534C What was the part number for your can and crank if you dont mind me asking.
  23. Hi all, VR6 very late model N reg 157 k Shrick VGI I have the bad start when warm and engine is feeling a bit slow. I have all ready repaced the MAS Sensor, lambada, catalitic, PVC valve and hose and given the car a a good service, has had new sparks and leads etc, ignition coil. After reading on here alot of people are mentioning the below Crank sensor part number if possible ? is this the same as a cam sensor ? Blue temp sensor part number if possible025 906 041 A this is 2 pin but I have seen 4 pin mentioned ? Is this the fan switch as it has been changed by th FPR Regulator is this the right number 078133534C , is this 3 bar or 4 bar. Any advice would be much appreciated I tend to go for Bosch parts or anything thats going to last. Thanks lads,
  24. On the look out for a black leather handle for handbrake , must be in good condition with no tares etc. Thanks
