A good read of the reciepts show that the bosch garage messed up the welding to the rear beam mount - also the timing chain. The second garage the specialist took if for a road test and after further investigation realised te welded area was flexing and causing the geometry to be well out - also investigated rough running and timing out- i think this broke the owner doing this twice .The body work is a mess all right - but been 1 of 7 pre merger AMG makes it very collectable so I hope she is put right. The 500 sec amg wide body is the daddy w and also the 190 e evolution is a 120 k car now. Be very interesting to see what It goes for as they are going for big big money in the USA. This is probably one of the most desirable pre merger amg cars built - Schumacher owned one . https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/cars/mercedes-560-sl-60-amg-hammered-away-businessmans-blues Oh and we cant miss out the hammer - what a cracker !!! https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/mercedes-benz/c-class/1992/701332 Another great Merc the 500E in conjunction with Porsche . Really Merc were the best quality . -

Rare car this only 1 of 7 to come to the uk- ouch spent 20 k in 1 year on drive train. Good story here if you read receipts how he took to an none specialist and then took it to a merc specialist that sorted it all out after the bad repairs. https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1996-mercedes-benz-e36-amg-wagon-4oMR2g -
This one is better then that blackberry as its had work done at stealth chains etc - not sure the blackberry had leather but this one does which is a bonus as a black leather .

First step is to find there access route. Second step remove food supply. Remove any bedding materials . De clutter to make open space. Deep clean to remove any mouse scent that could attract others. My garage door had a chew hole access on the plastic wind draft trim on the bottom- I then emptied the whole garage and bleach floor. I found this - I have now got rid of the sheeting and just placed the alloys on the boards to lift off concrete. The nest was directly under a set of wheels. If your car is on the access path like mine was outside garage door they will use it as cover. My whole issue was caused by a bag of dry fish pellets like small biscuits. The worst thing you can have is raised decking in the garden (cover) and a constant food supply ie bird feeder. Its no myth there has been a huge increase of them. https://www.aviva.com/newsroom/news-releases/2020/07/rodent-infestations-soar-in-uk-homes-during-lockdown/

Only negative with a battery case- mouse like them as a nest- there is an infestation of mice in the uk at the moment- found some droppings the other day in my garage - fish bait thrown out immediately and mouse traps purchased ! Found this in my engine bay on top of the battery bag and a few droppings - have completely de cluttered garage took everything out and deep cleaned . Common now its like we get the same issues the USA always has with them- check this out in the UK brand spankers Porsche and mouse nest. picture below chew on inline fuse cover rayne hl loom that’s all tf Reading on it because the pubs closed down for so long and restaurants they have moved from commercials to domestics - I can say i will blow them all up one by one in till the last hairy fucker retreats .

It felt good walking away as the last thing I needed to do was get a personal loan before I build a garage- its a great example of never look at the clock for condition - its an original car but once you cut the roof skin off its had welding and needs welding on rear wings so sort of invalidates the low mileage factory capsule premium. Now if it was a G60 I would of been tempted if it had recro lol . The old gent was telling me oh you just finding things wrong with it to knock me down on price - I said honestly chap I not going to talk money with you just sort out that timing belt chap youll see it mentioned in your service book, and off I went in me 185k G60 driving as fresh as a daisy after refurb knowing mileage dont matter to me . -

So a lad that use to work for me trained up from apprentice sent me that photo the other day as he was working at the house - my ears pricked and I got the number and arranged a visit that same evening. It was true an 89 40200 on the clock one lady owner form new - been garaged all its life. It still had the Quantum oil badge in the bay - I asked what he had done in 32 years and just the brakes and service- I explained to him best get that timing belt done as its not just mileage but every six years as rubber deteriorates. You can see that from the gutter seals. It was totally original with green check - but too my horror I saw the sunroof - a webasto he had butchered into the car 3 months old from new that was not square and a horrid after market head liner and controls - also to my surprise the rear arch lips had rust - everything else was original nothing ever changed- he was on about 7 k but I have no interest in the car now. Yes it was a factory slick top ouch !!! Great to see a time warp car but the garaged has dried all the seals and it will need loads doing when you start driving it properly . -

The lancia intergrale have seen that sell up to a 100 k now - the USA market really drives these prices as we’re not available and they look at them with rose tint . I drove my mates back in the day and it was very lack luster. I would have no interest owning a classic Audi after following the s2 group and the way classic Audi shut all the uk owners off after brexit - all the owners say it’s like Audi tradition don’t want you to own them - -

I would love one tbh - I would do some work to get it up to 220 bhp - I was thinking of getting one when they were around 15k but too much now- its the parts costs some of them are x4 the cost of the rado - most likely the most expensive parts in the classic vag range which is a massive negative for ownership experience - I think the 190 e cosworth is a good as in rhd and merc have a good classics team. If I was going to do another project I would source an early mk2 16v and do a body kit car bbs or hella kit- be a lot cheaper . -

Sure Im pretty certain a stock 16v would most likely whip its ass but i do love a car with box arches . -
Will have to be or you’ll be sniffing in petrol fumes through the heater fan . interesting point that if that evap fumes delivery to intake is 1 percent out can cause 20 percent .
-
What have you done with the small diameter hose that is connected to the blue evap solenoid and three way pcv hose which is part of the carbon cannister that releases when to much pressure in cannister - i believe this is combined with the evap system and burns off petrol fumes .

Every few months i see one of these they go up 2 or 3k - they really are catching up with the e30 m3. Some way to go yet though. Great looking motor mind you with the recaro https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203800635030 -
Yes I’ve seen this in the past so they are a direct fit - any differences ? you might get a tax and import duty off that seller now I don’t use them anymore as got stung a few weeks later after delivery , heritage free postage over £70 and only normal vat no duty or customs processing fee .

You can take the rod out as well of actuator - has a Micky mouse. Twist. Lock but very fragile .
-
I know where to come for welding and paint correction now 😀

Jesus that looks a scary job lol I know I would shag that up myself. Vince uses them sparks all the time they are audi TT ones and they have to be the Bosch ones- he hates NGK says he has seen too many misfires with them and poor quality.
