  1. They are very sort after now the factory tinted 16 v lights - look good on a white car.
  2. Have you any Mk2 parts knocking about Dox I like them 16 v lights ha. There is a project 16 v mk2 down south looks very complete- good for someone for 3 k - is a 3dr - black and rainbow big bumper. Very honest car and complete. 176k on clock with original block.
  3. From what I can see the early corrado came colour matched on script badge - you can only buy repo silver badges that are I cant think of the name has the matt glazed effect- so best thing to do is colour match the black matt oe badges that you can still buy from VW. Im not that patient so im like. 3m alcohol body panel clean product. 1 hour for primer to dry x 2 light coats Top coat x 3 10 minutes each coat apart Laquer 10 minutes later x 3 coats 10 minutes apart. All above light coats and only sprayed in sunny weather 20 degrees plus (not over 25 ) for good cure. Each coat touch dry before next application. I could wet sand the lacquer on the script but its a good enough finish as it is for me .
  4. Bit of colour coding today - rich in flake is Black Magic . Halfords Vw black Pearl matched well and undercoat plastic primer finished of with lacquer. Plenty of practice im getting ok with a rattle can .

  10. Was too busy looking at Kamei kits and superchargers 😅 I should have took a few admittedly.
  11. Thanks for making the long distance- really does give an opportunity to give the car a good drive.
  12. Thanks for the few that came today. Users blue vr6 - black magic and supercharged. South Goldfinger - Blackberry VR Kamei kit Midlands Robin - aqua blue VR Schrick VGI Midlands NMDSEC - green ( not sure of code) VR Supercharged. South west Sorry been lazy with the camera . 13. QWell done happy for you- is it me or are the tryes different sizes- you need to watch the tryes if she has been sitting long and they are old- probably flat spotted.
  14. I fitted a stereo yesterday - this might help .
  15. I heard someone mention they had one of these and it broke within a year. Is the spoonfed not the best option at Hermitage ?
  16. Im sure with the coming years as the cars outlive the owners and are passed on to none corrado enthusiast some of these cars will suddenly appear on the market- I would have no real interest in them myself as I like to use mine and some of these will belong in a an automotive museum or a collecter that does not use them .
  17. I just spoke to the service manager for the craic and he told me it is 100 percent true and too my shock told me from road up from me (1 min walk) there is another lady that has a corrado wrapped up in wool which I imagine means well looked after and has extremely low mileage VR and they have been servicing the car for 20 years - surprised she has never knocked my door for a chat. it only comes out for a service he reckons. He also gave me the name of a vag breaker in the Midlands area that does not advertise that had shed loads of rado parts he reckons . I will investigate further.
  18. Just to add another story I have been told by the mobile smart repair I use- he reckons he has been to a retired previous company owner of a chain of retirement homes that had 8 or 10 Corrado all in low mileage in different colours and is obsessed by them- never uses them - also in the Midlands but he wont tell me anymore- these rare gems are still hiding in places I guess.
  19. Yep that was it im just passing on the story I was told buy my local Vag service manager 40 year time served employee of VW - and his story about the lady owner from that car company off castle vale and how the car was wrapped and preserved and still sits there today just the way it arrived all those decades back. Think it must be that Maurice lady.
  20. Thats it looks like the family moved up to Brum from London as one of the founding partners (the lady )company director address is in Birmingham - Ive been told they actually went to Germany to collect the car and it was basically the first one or two to be in the country. Ive never set eyes on the car but have have been told by a 40 year VW servicing manager the car exists and now the story has some evidence towards what he told me.
  21. Itw what ever the company use be called at the current GSF carparts on the castle vale estate - think it was euro something (not euro cars )
  22. He just hangs out there really his in his 60s - him and Vince go back a long way back from the Mk2 days when they was poppiing turbos on to them, Robins old Mk2 form back in the early 2000s had a vwms gear box and was running 200 bhp - he sold it to a young work colleague that write it off a week later- when he found out he rushed to the scrapyard to salvage the parts but by then the car was a cube unfortunately.
  23. Looking forward to seeing a Rado Kamei in the flesh .
