Superb mate - good you can come to gilkes then / I bet that fuel system is needing a good run !
-
Ive changed my actuators to - mine still had a drain but still glad I changed them - I took out the Alpine stereo and seemed to cure it.
-
Nice one mate- I can get mine looking like yours with that product I will be chuffed. Them seagulls are huge these days - Im mean they are growing to Pterodactyl proportions - no doubt these USA type king size meals been scavenged on the beach's of the UK.🤣
-
Thanks ABV- They are concaved I believe to allow the 4 pot AP callipers to be fitted that came as part of the VWMS race kit for vento cars. Im not sure which kit it was but would of been one of these - it has the codes and type of alloy - may well of been the Honda kit. https://catalogue.apracing.com/59/#zoom=z Good write here about Mark Yates who worked with Vince building the cars with the VWMS kits which included the alloys- also mentioned about him working at Gemini transmissions the VWMS gear boxes . https://www.onlyrevo.com/blog/mr-motorsport/ What I really like about the alloys is that VW Motorsport actually advertise them for a Corrado - so a great period OE manufacturer plus modification . Very rare alloy though as they cost more then a set of BBS RS new. Some cool picture here of the alloys on some MK3 track cars and also special editions. Those wondering what one alloy cost 418 dem - so that is £200.00 per alloy back in 92 if you damaged one on the track. so with inflation would cost just under £1800.00 in todays money for bottom complete set with Dunlop sport tyres fitted.
-
Thanks Fla- I hace always wondered did Speedline sell these alloys to any other car manufactures or tuning houses. These Mim 16 speed;lines are closely related to them , https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124119976668

Thanks mate the 997 blocks in the classics as they are only replaceable with 2 or 3 years renovation blood sweat and tears - its very hard to get a well sorted rado as Im sure you are aware as owner himself that has got his car in top nick alike to other members on here 👍

Hi everyone . Gilkes cafe mini forum meet . Date Sunday 27th June . 11.00 am. Would be great to catch up and see some of the members cars - hope a few of you can make it - this is only been advertised on the forum . https://gilksgaragecafe.com/menu/

Beautiful evening in the Midlands so thought I would share a few pics after I cleaned them - low evening light is best for black paint .
-
I have some nos of these- they also came on the MK2 golf- they will be remade because of that exact reason so I expect they are been remade- none genuine but its just a sponge type material . They sit flush with the bonnet inner scuttle seal so I guess they are a water guide.
-
To bring this back alive. Are these the correct part numbers for tie rods RHD UK vr6 thanks . left 1H0422803A + right 1H0422804A https://www.ilcats.ru/vw/?function=getParts&market=RDW&model=COR&modelcode=76&year=1995&group=4&subgroup=422&part=105000&language=en

Looks like mine was cut up when Schrick fitted Cressa ? I would say the bracket would fit a vsr mate by the looks of it ?
-
Thanks - does the bracket come apart - I think I just have the cable earthing plate part bolted to my block . Will check later but I reckon the bracket was cut when the schrick was fitted. thanks
-
Is this the rhd bracket your on about - the other end has a clip on it for fuel hoses . I didn’t have one on the Schrick but the vsr has a housing thread for the bracket . Jacking the engine up can make life easy mate for fitting. The late plastic intake boot fits fine with a schrick mate - you only need the early flexi with a VSR, The VSR also looks slants downwards- this is fro the block oil lubrication though I have been told. Wondered why my rad trim had a piece cut out .
-
Cool mate looks damn good in there . Have you got a picture of the rhd bracket . thanks
-
This is the trim that has the two holes in each corner for early dash - you can still buy the caps that cover the holes from classics believe oi or not- however the part number on your post 535 858 203 Is for lhd vehicles and will not for a rhd - needs to start with 536 to be correct for UK cars- otherwise will not house in cubby.

These lot do a MK2 heated front windscreen but no rado . Handy if the heater matric blows it dummy out ha. https://www.heatedwindscreen.com/acatalog/vw-heated-windscreens.html

Shaun there is a Saint Gobain blue tint top one whether you can get your hands on it or not. It would look good blue on aqua . If you look at the link it has the screens for the corrado and has good photos and shows a blue and green tint to banner- all Saint Gobain - has the part numbers next to them. They are showing out of stock but I have seen Mk2 golf ones in Germany. At least you have the part numbers now. https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/windscreen-74880/vw/corrado/corrado-53i/1755-2-9-vr6?categories[0]=1191 Blue Green
-
Hopefully they will make a new batch - the last few are left in Germany from one seller . Behr Hella Refrigeration are now owned by Mahle so worth seeing if they are to be remade in the Mahle brand - I did a condenser on my 911 this weekend and the hella unit was now branded Mahle but with the Hella part number.
-
Post on corrado club GB on facebook- the registration is no longer on the car- checked on on free car check its on a 2004 smart car. .
-
Geri its good job you got that Rad as now the Dasis are no longer available and the last few seemed to be sold in the £220 range- so no OE fitting radiators about folks.- my mate was looking for one tonight and a tried to help him but no joy.
-
Have a feeling mine might be on the original factory one .
-
Is this possibly another Eibachgate scandal - rear shocks too short ?
-
Cool mate just intrigued to see if Pilkington are flogging the Sekurit - be bloody good though if two firms are still making the screen. In the USA its one of the rarest parts.
-
Dont get me wrong I would take a slick top anyday of the week - I have seen early cars without one but has anyone ever seen a factory VR slick top. Bit less weight to and cleaner lines
