Arrived yesterday and I will be fitting them tomorrow morning. I started to remove my old tanks straps this afternoon and realised my tank strap bracket was quite rusted, so have ordered a nice new shiny one off here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-MK2-MK3-GOLF-CORRADO-NEW-GENUINE-TANK-STRAP-BRACKET-GTI-8V-16V-VR6-GL-CL-C-/330987802792?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d106910a8 They are going to look so good once fitted, I just need to sort out all the other rusty bits underneath the car now! Many thanks again.

I'm in for a group buy as I'm also wanting some 263's. Let me know if a group buy goes ahead. Rob.

I've got a pair mate. They are both tested and fully working. The passenger side one appears to be missing the prong that holds it in the door card but it still fitted fine in my G60. I'm open to an offer if you are interested in them.

Payment sent. Thank you for sorting out the group buy. Cheers. Rob.

For sale is my 2.0 16v 9a engine. It comes complete with wiring loom, gearbox, ecu, all pipe work, exhaust manifold and all items needed for a complete engine conversion. The engine has 89k genuine miles with full service history and no oil leaks or running problems. The engine is still in the car so can be heard running and the gearbox is smooth and all fluids have been changed recently. Open to offers around £300 for the lot. Located in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Rob's Project VR6 and 2.0 16v, VR6 head rebuild.

Ended up swapping the engine over for one off a Passat VR6 that I got for a bargain. Even though I replaced the cylinder head the car was still smoking, so I dropped the 2.8 in over a weekend and will rebuild the 2.9 over the winter months. Strip down: New engine: I removed the engine after work on Friday, and had the new engine up and running by Sunday. The new engine feels a lot tighter and thankfully doesn't smoke now! I fitted the 2.9 upper manifold and throttle body and can honestly say that I can't notice any real difference in performance to the 2.9. I've also recently replaced: Front top mounts, Tie rod ends, Drop link stabilisers, Rear calipers, Thermostat housing and sensors, And changed the diagnostic port for an OBD2 connector. The mot had expired so I booked it in for a test and it passed with flying colours! Another year of trouble free motoring lies ahead. :) -
Welcome along mate. From sunny Haverfordwest. :)

I had a similar issue, although my misfire/hesitation was more noticeable when I was idling and then hit the throttle. I changed the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and the blue coolant temp sensor and the car now runs like a dream! Have you changed any of these items?

Hi Hassan. I totally forgot about this thread, im still needing a set for my VR. Let me know what I owe you on this thread please and payment details, that's if you still have any available. Sorry about the delay mate, my inbox is not allowing me to receive or send messages at the moment, don't know how long its been like that?? cheers mate. Rob.

Cheers mate. That is very good of you. Just let me know when you can. Thanks. Rob.

Hi, I would be very interested in the rear door cards. I f you let me know your price for packaging then and arranging a courier then I will paypal you the funds. I bought a set identical off the forum earlier this year but when they arrived the pointy ends were damaged. :( My PM inbox seems to be playing up at the moment( not sure why?) and not allowing me to send messages so please reply on this thread. Thanks. Rob.

I would recommend this slave cylinder: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clutch-Slave-Cylinder-VW-CORRADO-88-95-/370851216915?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item5658747e13 And if you are fairly practical then remove the clutch master cylinder and strip it down, the seal closest to the spring inside is likely to be deformed and possibly causing your clutch problem. It's easy to strip down as long as you have circlip pliers, and be careful once the clip is removed as the spring inside is quite strong! I had to repair two clutch master cylinders recently and was trying for ages to get a replacement but couldn't find one anywhere! So I went to the car breakers yard and removed the clutch master cylinder off a B4 Passat (£4) and the internal seal is the same so I swapped the seals over and all is now working perfectly. Hope this helps you or anyone else with this problem.

Possibly the pipe work that does from the carbon canister to the throttle body has come loose? I'm not familiar with 1.8 engines but it might be worth a look? :) -

dumptyboy replied to dumptyboy's topic in Parts for Sale
I will package it up tonight and get a price for postage tomorrow if that's alright. Early/late is the same mate. It's quite a light item so I would imagine postage to be fairly cheapish?? I will let you know tomorrow buddy. :) -

Is it a click or a clunk noise? Could it be the exhaust rubbers are knackered and the exhaust is knocking?

Nice and clean mate. Are you going to drop the height or leave it as it is? A nice set of wheels and a nice car to boot. :)

A pair of early headlights from the G60 I broke for parts. The glass is in very good condition, as are the reflectors and the rear casing. The removable plastic surround on both headlights are slightly damaged but not really noticeable once fitted, although these surrounds could easily be replaced with your existing ones, It really is very hard to see any damage once fitted! £80 collected or £90 posted. Open to offers on the lights seperatly if anyone is interested. Rob.
