Could be input shaft bearing, its usually the case. But its a gear box strip job. If your clutch isnt showing any sighns of slipping i'd say it was the input shaft bearing.

I can only tell you what he told me. He was pretty pissed off about it.

I worked with a couple of Dutch contractors instaling a Dutch lift in manchester, and one of them told me it was his first time back in the UK for 5 years. When he got to customs they made him pay a £350 fine before he could enter the country, this was due to a traffic related offence he did the last time he was here. His boss ended up paying it over the phone via credit card just so it didn't put the job back but told him it would be coming out of his wages. He wasn't a very happy chap. His english wasn't too good but his sware words were clear as day

Yeah Henny i've fully seam welded mk1 for muchose stiffness, the only problem with that is the decelaration (sp) it tends to mangle your internal organs. Just have to not crash

A few months ago the park opposite my house was having all the trees trimmed. On the day of the trim i opened the blinds to see 3 blokes sitting on my wall all looking at my car and one I saw even trace the line from the front to the back in the air and they all started nodding lol. I ended up chatting to them for a while they were saying they really liked the looks of the Corrado. So i asked them while they were trimming the trees they could trim the 60ft ash opposite off at the base because I’m sick of the mess it makes of my paint, if its not bird muck its sap or big branches falling. They said there is no way they would need a permit to chop a tree down that size. Got back from work to find they had loped the whole side of the tree off :D all the other trees in the street still over hang the road  then there is this big hole out side my house. It’s even brightened the front room up loads. All thanks the C.

This really winds me up, just daren't park any where. The first weekend out after buying my C we came out of a pub and there were two chips in the paint, one by rear arch and one on the door, volvo with my black paint on both doors parked next to us. I went to storm in the pub and kick off and before i even got two steps away my lady goes ape and boots the wing mirror off and then goes down the side kicking every pannel. At which point we made a sharp exit.

Yeah i've got loads of 6mm but it draws air in through those 'easy on' fittings. There is hardly any difference in size but it just don't work. I've managed to source some proper 1/4" stuff from FWB but its like rocking horse shit and they gave me all they had in stock which just about did me. You need to find a compressed air shop thats got 1/4" not 6mm and it needs to withstand 250psi.

This has happened to all of my dubs so far, Mk1 and mk2 but when the mk2 did it it shafted the relay fuse board (have you ever seen inside one of those things  ) first thing i do now is slap a fuse in that said wire. Its quite comon on mk2's Sorry can't help on the exact relay, its some where in the middle.

Sandy i've just had the Product Spec sheet faxed through and it looks like the same stuff mate 99.85% purity. I've been playing with my turn on points and i'm getting quite a kick when the 2nd stage comes in now, the first stage doesn't seem to make that much difference but i think that is because the co pot registers the drop in temp, and from what i've read its best to run stightly lean with w/i, so because the 2nd stage is after the co pot it doesn't fuel to compensate. Am i thinking along the right lines or not?

Sounds like you've had new rear discs and the rotors haven't been swaped over.
-
I don't think linking it to the TB would be a good idea, i'm not sure what the effects of supplying the fuel tank with boost would be?
-
Thats a bit steep, as far as i know methanol is methanol but i might be wrong. I've payed about half what you paid for 25L of methanol AND 25L of demineralised water. I've got 100L of Methanol and 100L of Demin water for about £150 incl delivery. I would do the boost return mod if I were you just in case.

G60 X-flow - Anyone completed one of these yet ?
Chris M replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Engine Bay
I was talking to Darren about these the other day, they do sound very very good, the gains on the flow bench are very impresive. -
How long do you think this is going to last me  I like how its got 2 skull and crossbones.
-
I've not got before and after experience but as long as you keep it off boost, i can't see there being much difference. So if you haven't got a boost guage get one. I can cruse at 70/80 with it off boost and get about 32mpg iirc, with a 68mm, s4 n chip. crusing at 60 though i've had nearly 40mpg i think, its been a while since i did any long motorway miles
-
what is the service interval in that then 1000 miles lol what about the water pump and alt runing faster does that give any probs
-
20psi WTF you got on there  I've just ordered my methanol and de-minralised (sp?) water 100L of each for £115 delivered, should see me good for a while. can anyone spot the mistake in the pics  Anyway i've just been for another test drive with the CO pot actually conected and i'd say there is not much difference with or without WI, which is better than yesterday, i'll keep playing and see what happens when my methanol turns up.
-
Henny, thats just plane showing off  Lippy,

I'd give it an oil and filter change before you start it and like Henny said give it a good crank with the plugs out to get every where before starting. Then i'd change the oil and filter again after 200mile and then it will be spotless inside (better than engine flush).
-
Lol @ henny, nice find My mate Ben's g60 when he first had it took me for a spin, and i wasn't overly impressed by the power, i noticed the slight wistle you get just before the return valve closes was constantly there when his foot was down, i got him to pull over as soon as i twiged and sorted the problem with a bit more adjustment. He needed to make a stop at bargain boose on the way home :D

Well its up and running but the car feels slower  I've currently got Tap water only stage 1 activating at 5psi small nozzle before the TB after the CO pot stage 2 activating at 11psi large nozzle after the I/C last night i used nearly 1/4 tank of fuel testing all different arangements, trying to get rid of the bogging down feeling that i'm getting. I think tonight i might try upping the activation pressures. Any ideas? Some pics of my install.

Was that Brian Harvey

Cheers guys, i did think it wasn't too clever having them pointing at each other, but it was just a trial. I'm going to leave the small one where it is and turn the turn the CO pot part of the tube around so its slightly further away, and i'll stick the bigger one just after the I/C

Henny, OMG i'm not going to last too long then. The amount of times i've siphoned fuel out of the car to put in the lawn mower at my dads, and ended up with a gob full. No wonder my brain is fecked. :Fade-color
