I think i saw this car too. i waved at them ( was in my red valver). G

Yeah always use a VW filter as it has drain back stop in it. they are the best filers to use ( on any car ). Oil is your choice. I wouldn't bother with VW oil, just stick to a well known brand such as shell castrol or mobil. Mobil 1 is the best oil on the market at the mo however the others are close behind. Just when you do change the oil make sure you use the right viscosity oil. iirc you should go for 15W50 (or 0W50 ). G

I use mobil 1 motorsport in mine. It runs a lot smoother since i put it in. (that said it was on salid oil when i got it ) G

Hey wonder if you can help Pulling away from a set of lights floored it in first and as the revs got past 5000 there was a strange wining noise comming form the engine bay. sounded a bit like a belt wine. Any ideas what it is. cant hear it in other gears but it could still be there. G

If it is chucking unburnt fuel down the zorst then i would avoid usign the car as you might start a cat fire. Hennys way of checking is a good one tho. G

From what i have heard the corrado name is going to be revived along with the VR6 name ( the current V6). Not sure when it is coming out but i had heard 2007-8. I is lightly to be a rear engined car and will come as hard top and soft top. It was mentioned in an interview with Dr Bernt of VAG. Using Click technologie. Not sure if they are def going ahead with production but they are trying to become more sporty and so the corrado name is perfect to do that. Just my take on it G

I thought it was great to drive. Handles quite nice when driven hard but it does understear a bit. Still a nice drive. And the zorst note is great when the windows are down. 0-62 in 5.7 s and that is 2.5ish tons. Tis great Gman

82,200 Only had it for 3000 of those miles. When i got it it was running on about 2L of oil due to broken off dipstick tube. Not that i have put it on Mobil 1 motorsport (fully syn) it runs nice and smooth. BJ's due for replacement in the next few weeks. G

I would go with the 4WD set up. I have driven both FWD and 4WD and RWD VAG cars and have learnt to love the 4WD set up. You have have some kick ass fun with it. Deff go for 4WD it is the dogs nuts. Also it means you can hammer it in the wet and still not spin the wheels ( much any way) Just my 2p worth G

O k I soaked the bolts in Plus Gas but still not budging. didnt want to hit it if there was a thread in the upright as that would have meant that i would have to park the car for a few weeks ( something i cant afford to do) will do the job rite when i am next at home in about 3 weeks. ( load of time then) also is it easy to make the tool to remove the tie rod ends. G

Yeah. I am going for a new cable the next time i am near GSF. G

Hey is there a how to for the ball joints? I started to do mine on the W/E but i think it is going to be a bigger job as the pinch bolt is rusted in solid. main thing i want to know is after you take the nut off the pinch bolt. Is the bolt threaded in the upright ( do i have to un screw the bolt or should it just pull out.) I got the nut off and tried tapping the bolt ( that didnt work ) so i tried to unscrew it but when i got to the point of turning the head slightly and the shank was staying still i decided to stop coz I need the car for the next 3 weeks. I am thinking i will have to pull the whole lower control arm off and heat it to get it out. Any ideas would be gr8 Thanks G

mine does the same. Just be carefull when putting your foot under the pedal it could unclip the cable. this happend to me on fri in rush hour trafic on the A34. not nice. that said it only too 5 min to clip it back in but can be dangerouse G

Ok Cool thanks for that. will need to find some sometime soon. Do you know about TT wippers. the TT has quite a small screen. Will have to have a look the next time i am at home (dad has a TT). G
