Graham_E replied to KarmannVR6's topic in Engine Bay
the replacement i got was the first code 701 919 369D but its the black plug with the blue line round it, think u might have the wrong one? but dont take my word on it. -
nice whls 8) gud choice....are we limted to number of characters in each post on this thread??

rear bearings have been checked before...twice! but ill check them again. Ive been looking through old posts about the rear axle bushes and the symptoms are almost identical to the way mine handles, so its possible they could have been going for a while and have finally given up. At least spacers would mayb stop tyre and spring rubbing whilst i drive to where ever i need to go to get this done probably jmr cos theres no specialists near me and im not taking it to a main stealer.

i can add another 2 too the list of rado's seen in the area on wednesday J6** DEY A41 out of aylesbury parked up just before dual carriageway (london bound) and K*** RGP red vr6 parked up in westbourne street high wycombe 7.15am also see another one fairly regular in warwick ave/street in beaconsfield

its happening when im goin in a straight line not just hard left handers, so axle bushes are looking like a very likely solution to this problem, better get it booked into me local then. Would spacers also be a good idea or not worth it?

Excellent suggestions so far, thank you!...anymore? I can see some time off work coming here to get this sorted amongst all the other problems.

Audioscape moulded sub enclosure - update 21/02
Graham_E replied to Kevin Bacon's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I still am, i might not be able to afford it and probably have to sell something to fund it, but gotta have bass. -
no thats not silly i did actually check that, and yes they are tight! i made sure of that i did everything short of jumping up and down with both feet on the wheel brace & Henny the front and rear bushes are on my list just because of how old they are, looks like they might need to be a priority now then.
-
hmmm..didnt actually do it myself cos i was feeling lazy that day. but i did ask for all the top mounts to be done, it was done by stealth and they supplied the top mounts. How would i go about getting the subframe done if it is out of alignment, cant really drive much until this is done...definately wont be driving upto birmingham for the AGM if this isnt sorted. one other thing i forgot to mention the drivers side rear wheel look like the bottom was pointing out when i went back to my car this afternoon..and now just went out side quickly and the passenger side looks the same but the drivers side is straight! damn bloody cars..last question how do i check rear top mounts dont look very accesible.

you may have been goin 70 i wasnt  if we're playing it like that..Ive been spotted at last! woohoo! LOL.
-
had suspension fitted a while ago and had it all re-aligned...but over the last few days ive had a humming noise coming from the back, thought it might be wheel bearings something like that, just out of curiosity this morning i put my hand down the back of the tyre to see if i could feel any wear but i couldnt because the spring was so close...heres some pics of the wear and the tiny gap. (by the way its only the passenger side rear tyre all the others are fine)

dont know if this will help? Bonnet release...click here

bally dont blame yah, One thing that pissed me off bout this year is they got rid of the hot rods inside, it started off as a hot rod and classic show years back, then slowly they've pushed them out so its all chav'd up. Dont think ill bother next year, save my money for something better.
-
Bally that orange one wasnt far from where cheesy was. kevhaywire i had to wait ages to get a half decent shot, all the twats kept stopping right in front of me. i eventually resorted to violence cos i was getting pissed off, it worked though nobody got in my way after that :D
-
You would have seen this one as well then, not sure bout this either?
-
:offtopic1: ill never get bored of watching any of the monty python stuff...classic comedy :thumbleft: 8)
