Welcome :salute: everybody's friendly here, completely nuts as you may have guest already reading particular threads
-
Thanks joe, definately not worth the money then unless your loaded and do alot of trackdays etc where the engine is getting to extreme temps, which i definately wont be.
-
well im gonna say drop it, smooth it and put some 16-17" wideass old skool rims on it. 8) just my opinion of course
-
BINGO! there is remains of an old bonnet switch hole on the drivers side bit rusted up now, just didnt click that the 2 could be related. Feel like bit of a dumbass now lol

Thought id revive this thread and say how very informative it all is, now looking forward even more to getting it all in & having the experience of the extra torque and general improved driveability of the car. PhatVR6 excuse me if your not the person that was talking about this as ive just read 22 pages my head is a bit full of info, but was it your mate that was gonna make a digitial read out for the controller? anything come of that? Also anybody powder coat there shrick, if so Pics?? Last thing whats ceramic coating involve and are there any benefits to it?? Cheers Graham 8)

Ive found a couple of things in my engine bay that im just curious about more than anything else. The first has obviously been done at the factory during production...the second looks more like an bodge attempt at something and they've just tucked it out the way. I cleaned the plug up cos it was covered in years of crap and its body coloured, so are there any others c models that make use of this hole? Whats this wire its long enough to stretch across the car and has 2 spade connectors on it, it goes round the back of the battery (not connected to it) and then goes through a grommet at the back of the enigne bay into the interior passenger side.

im a bit indecisive at the moment  id like to see one on somebody's car so i can see how the qr works, as i was looking at gettin one of the momo snap off jobby's with a key & 2 leavers anyway. Also price would be a big factor as ive just spent a hoooooooooj amount over last few months. EDIT: What steering wheel is that in the pic? i might just go for a qr unit.

welcome to the forum 8) car does indeed sound very nice...dont know bout anybody else but id like to see some pics of your cadillac deville as well :D
-
should think so too
-
i think this is going slightly off topic? shouldnt this kinda cod shit be in the angel eyes thread?
-
That's what the SE meets are really all about... ;)  somebody has been smoking the soap bar again.
-
True true. Maybe ill have a hunt around then, would be useful for others in my area to know of decent places to go i guess.
-
thats all very well doing that but cant guarantee that the work is gonna be good quality. Personally i would prefer paying a bit extra and travelling a bit further to go somewhere that has been used and proven to be good, but thats just my opinion.
-
bloody hell! did u actually manage to get anywhere with it that low...thats v. nice though. I can imagine that even squashed road kill could prove a problem with that front bumper.
-
I love this forum, ill shall mostly be using those numbers to good effect when my bank account has recovered.
-
they do look so much better without rear wiper.
-
seem to remember having this discussion with you and a few others at the monthly meet about how far people travel for body mods. cheers for the info lee, much 'preciated 8)
-
hmmmm got me thinking as well now, let me know your findings mr K 8)

sorry for barging in on this thread. assuming his in the leeds area then? might be a little bit too far to come for arches, wouldnt happen to know anybody in the south would you?
-
insurance is up at end of next month so elephant wont be gettin my business, they want some silly amount for my engine mods. Ive heard that brentacre amongst others can insure you up to a certain BHP rather than per each particular mod, so that would be very handy.
-
need to get my done as well...where abouts is this jason guy, what kinda price looking at?
-
ill get on the phone too them tomorrow and see what they say..havent been impressed with elephant recently, would be nice if they employed staff that actually knew something about there job and didnt have to keep putting you on hold every 5 seconds cos they dont know what the hell your on about.

yep catching ya drift perfectly, so all i gotta do with the old mirror is try and get that plate off then. One good thing though, can get the trim round the outside edge of the windscreen where it wasnt fitted correctly before replaced, looks minging at the moment. Also comes with the trim at the bottom as well doesnt it? Ive got windscreen insurance, so hopefully shouldnt cost much more than 50quid

Do new windscreens, come with rear view mirrors bonded on? reason i ask is gave my dad and one of his mates a lift, dads mate is tall too say the least...f*** knows how his done it but he went to get out sitting in the front, nutted the rear view mirror took it clean off and it took a chunk of windscreen with it! so need to get a new screen now
