  1. These 2 comments sum it up for me. way too much effort for a vauxhall. "clearly a complete tit with too much time on his hands. its an astra FFS!" "why not stick it in a cardboard box filled with cotton wool and push it round the streets wearing silk gloves as well?"
  2. Good choice phil..maybe im slightly biased though

  7. You'll have no trouble, you should have seen how low some of the cars going to le mans last year were. As walesy says they see it as a challenge to get you on the ferry & are indeed very helpful.

  20. After spending most of the day trying to get the carrier bolts off of my rear brakes and pretty much rounding one of them, i admitted defeat and put everything back together again. Thats where the problems started the caliper on the rear drivers side was a bit tight to go back on over the pads (i may have swapped pads from the opposite side, nearside)even though it had been fully wound in. The handbrake only goes up maybe 2 clicks but when you release it the offside wheel is still jammed, have i got a seized caliper or does my handbrake just need adjusting? Assuming i did use one or both pads from the opposite side would this make a difference even though i did drain some fluid from the reservoir & press the pedal several times with ignition on. does that make any sense??

    Rusty screw!!

Is it possible to remove the slam panel without taking the headlights out? the reason i be asking is that the screws down behind the lights are completely fubar'ed & rusted up. Know amount of lubrication, drilling, dremeling, explosive is gonna shift 'em whilst i cant get at them, so i need to get the panel off so i can attack them properly. As always any help much appreciated 8)
