8) the car park was interesting post some pics later :twisted: saw some dude in a 3/4 leather coat and an orange black dubforce t shirt what can i say ..........wash it !! ian (the car not the t shirt) :wink: very air cooled orientated but still a good day

fuse number 3 does the dash lights , well it does on the VR

check that its sitting on all three mounts correctly (front,gearbox and rear) check there are no metal shaving on the top of mounts , this indicates if the mount is tight

There are two elements to the wheel – the tyre and the rim. The tyre is usually sized using the tread width(W) in mm.; sidewall height (H) in mm, plus the; tyre’s insidediameter (D) in inches. The rim is also sized using the same diameter (D).In addition, there is a second measure of width, which the average customer never comes across. This is the Bead-Width (BW). It is the distance between the lips of the tyre (called beads), where it fits on the rim. It is usually about 10mm less than the tread-width, and corresponds to the second key dimension of the rim – the rim width (J ).

MikeVR6, did you check the right fuse mike ? the fuse is for the dash illumination, iirc its something like the 3rd ish fuse along (my manual is outside in the garage:-( interior illumination will be for your interior light

compare the price a leather interior off the c to say a mk3 golf , the mk3 is loads cheaper .....supply and demand :-(

there is likes and dislikes.........but tbh i think its each to their own really there are modded vw's i like the look of but i wouldnt want to own dont really understand why some american guy takes his car to maybe 3 different companies who pimp the engine, interior and bodywork and then he takes the credit ??? wtf has he done apart from supplied the $$$ , he wasnt out in january freezin his nuts off fitting lupo wipers !!and then mags pat him on the back ?? scrape some knuckles - keep it real :-)

ps. the bolts are obvious

they arent allen bolts they are torx head bolts if you want to take the silver vr6 cover off then undo the rear black plastic , 2 bolts, then underneath are 2 more bolts that hold the center vr6 section in, remove these and it lifts out
