  1. BLACKG60, i would say easier , the secret with all of them is to use as little as possible (it says on the bottle/tin) they best way to describe the clearkote moose is that its like varnishing the paint

    Stub axle

changing it shouldnt be a big job, caliper off, handbrake cable off, disc off , unbolt the hub and replace but i bet those bolts are a pia to get off :-(

    Stub axle

hopefully it would be just the stub axle (6) which is showing @ £110 ! but i would do the rear bearings as if it is bent then they will be damaged hopefully it isnt the rear axle beam as thats £450 ! :-(

  8. go to c/et prog/etka .exe and right click the etka.exe and go to properties , click the compatibility tab and tick run this program in compatibility mode for windows 95 whether that works or not i dont know tbh but that is what is suggested above mate , is it 6 you're running?
  9. c/et prog/etka .exe my mates works in xp but follow the path above
  10. right click the .exe and go to properties , click the compatibility tab and tick run this program in compatibility mode for windows 95
  11. buy some audioscape pods and some good components, these coupled with a sub was the only way i could quieten my c down :-)
  12. might be best takin the arm off and yeah one thing always leads to another ;-( i just cant remember if the track rod end is a left hand thread but i've got a feeling it may well be but i'm sure you have tried turning it both ways
  13. yeah you can pull back the gaitor and take the whole tie rod off the rack and get it in a vice if all else fails mate the tie rod arm screws into the rack hth daft question i know but you have undone the locking nut havent you ?
  14. the arm on the rack is shaped to take a spanner to adjust the toe in/out and remove the track rod end but you cant hold it tight enough ? have you tried some heat on it or soak it in wd40 ? be careful not to manhandle it too much as the steering arm goes into a knuckle and you dont want to damage that
  15. sorry mate , i'm lost here , is it stuck in the hub or is it stuck on the steering rack ?
  16. is it just spinning ? or not turning at all ? you mean the nut on the top of the track rod end ? or do you mean the locking nut on the rack ? have you got the hub off ?
  17. each to their own , everyones entitled to an opinion , if we all liked the same thing it would be boring .... and rado prices would be sky high :-)

  22. inpro or not inpro ... iirc the ddi ones are from an audi a4 and they zarmann quite a while to fit, the was or is a site showing the fitting somewhere
  23. aye i was on about both , i would replace both ! the headling looks like a home made job , looks as though someone has shoved a tent up there  only a couple of hours to replace the whole lot, give it a clean with some vanish powershot before you put it in the headlining is rigid with a card back to it but that looks like an old duvet cover
