oh bugger ( i've done this before :cry: ) i took the old h/u out and put the pioneer in and guess what ? yeah i forgot to empty the multi changer :cry: :mad: last time i did this i stripped the changer to get the discs out :roll: so i wired the kenwood back in ( just live and earth) and got them out this h/u has some bass going on :shock: even with the setting lowered , my vibes rattling my number plate :lol:

thats what i'm going to do kev , cdr's are cheap as ford parts 8)

Hi i'm taking my kenwood h/uout and want fit my pioneer, the lead (power ,speakers etc) has no connector on the end , so rather than cut the wires off the kenwood and splice them over can i buy an iso connector and make it up ? i hate messy wiring with connectors or soldering, i'dprefer to spend a little time and make a tidy job of it ps. kev did the 8600 come with a microphone that reads the cars accoustics and sets up the equaliser ? cheers paul

thanks for the replies 8) i can see this is going to take further investigation and yeah your right kev, ice is a never ending upgrade and the main problem is good and cheap do not go together :cry: i'd be happy with a h/u that plays single dvd mp3 discs but its a little too much to have say 10 dvd's worth of mp3's in the car i've got about 40gb of mp3's and about 2000 cd's , oh well at least cd's are less than 10p a throw but the last dvd's i got were 100 for £20 for good ones , rambling now :) going !!

sounds like timing to me, did it run on after you turned it off, check the colour of the plugs this should give you some indication and if you havent got a strobe i would set it up static or at least check it check the belt isnt damaged , def smacks of timing tho
