  3. pablo_vr6, cheers for info mate like kev said the h/u decodes so why wouldnt an ordinary multi changer work, surely the mp3 multi changer only sends a digital signal that is then converted ? i'll do some digging .... seen kev on the talk audio site
  4. yeah i thought about the ipod but its costly even the mini ipod with only 4gb is £170 ish when will they make a h/u that reads mp3s off a dvd disc ?
  5. cheers kev "That's odd they don't do an MP3 changer as the decoding is done at the headunit" this is exactly what i thought but i emailed http://caraudiosecurity.com/ and they said "Pioneer do NOT currently sell a CD/MP3 changer. You could use the Centurion DVA-680 changer with the Pioneer CD-RB20 AUX-IN adaptor but this in the £400 area  think i'll pick the brains of another site for comfirmation though
  6.  you dont get much more mainstream than common stinkin pioneer

  10. Jay_vr6, let us know how you get on , better to know the cure before the problem occurs
  11. Drive it in the rain - your first "mod" will follow shortly afterwards. Standard Corrado windscreen wipers are crap. You'll soon be down at the dealers buying some new Lupo GTI wiper arms & blades. Drive it in the rain, and at night ;) and do over 50mph
  12. I can confirm that there IS a screw behind the speaker grill on the later door cards. yep its sort of up at the side of the speaker, towards the front of the car iirc
  13. only advise i would give is shop around, spend an afternoon on the phone, the prices vary more than you think, when i shopped for mine i got quoted £1200 ( co-op )as the highest and £290 (direct line) as the lowest with the same cover and excess !! sheep dont steal cars so its cheap here
  14. welcome aboard 8) , lots of info and help on here nice c but could do with more pics

    lowering springs

get the kids a harness each they'll be happy 8) you cant lower without altering the "soft" ride cos your altering the amount of travel allowed by the spring (less recovery time) but as kev said some are a lot less harsh than others and remember they will bed in
  16. 70k  good find , nice and clean, green- now thats a mans colour  , so are you going to mod or keep it standard ? lupo wipers, uprated loom and a bmc induction kit, then next weekend you can do some more 8)
