sneakily busted :-)

the headlight bulbs are all standard h4 mate , you can get uprated bulbs but tbh they are useless without an uprated loom as the oem loom only provides about 9volts to them :-( first mod i'd advise anyone to do is the uprated loom ,you wont be sorry

sorry to hear that mate, you must be gutted but i suppose the shock must be masking that atm :-( parts i'd be interested in flying over for :- engine Rebored, Schrick VGI, BMC , 17" Ronal R7s, Lupo Wipers, Mocal Oil Cooler 312mm TT Brake Setup. hope you get this sorted quickly ,these things are best put behind you asap -
pull the wash/wiper relay and take the cover off and check the contacts (give them a clean) also check for dry joints on the spades but its more likely to be the stalk imo , remove the cowl and check/clean the copper contacts and look for any broken ones hth

what a horrible job , i still love mk2's , i had 2 and i think they are the best golf imo your c looks very clean from what i can see
-
looks very clean mate , areyou swopping the reg over aswell ?
-
also check the pads for wear mate
-
have you checked your fluid level ? is it losing fluid ? if you pump the pedal when braking does the pedal remain firm or drop ? what colour is the fluid in the resevoir ? brake fluid is hygroscopic (water absorbing) so over time it is less efficient , have a check around the inner rim of each wheel for any dampness

43,000? On a daily driver?! Where do you work, next door?!?! ah does jay mean the engine or the car on 43k ?
-
the sunroof is a pia , 50% of people on here can only tilt and not slide tbh, the wing liner and pump wont be expensive (providing it is only the pump ) those faults wouldnt bother me , especially with the other plus points , leather, good miles and a good colour
-
always people breaking rado's mate, just check the for sale forum out, there will always be bits to do on a 10yr + old car ,part of the fun :joker2:
-
gradeAfailure, - dave means pull the knob off the fan speed control and check the copper strip behind it isn't too dirty making a poor contact this and the sunroof are the most common problems with the c (lots to choose from :-) ) , take a week off work and search heater
-
if thats all it is then its just plug an play mate , suspicious that its not there though, maybe suggests another problem or not ? although they have been known to get stuck on so the pump continually runs and burns out ,so hopefully a new pump would sort it hth

it needed hoovering , you know how fussy thieves can be :-)
