my matrix pewed lovely pink g12 all over my feet last week ( bear in mind i have grey interiorand carpet!!!) car is sat in bits now but have 2 questions. 1. Is it ok to use standard plumbing copper pipe (22mm) to bypass the matrix for now, and if so as i can't find any that is the right angle, will soldered pipe take the pressure and heat?? 2. How can you change the matrix without removing the dash on a vr6?? Realy want to get this sorted as just spent 500 quid getting it through mot and want to take it out and play! matt :(

Whats the spec? Sounds impressive. amd chip, decatt stainless, cold air box, induction kit, water feed to throttle disconnected and rag the s**t out of it!

right cheers yan. the parts guy was as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike! pulse sensors were what he was bangin on about and he said that thir were 2?? anyone know the part number?? vince flagged it up when i had the car on the rollers, but said its only intermittent. i see this as sometimes it flies and other times it is slllloooooowwww. ta

attempted to hook my self up with a cam pos sensors at the stealers and was told that there are 2 on my engine, one is 80 quid the other 40?? didn't get either, went to newquay and drank instead. however how do i know which one has the fault so i don't get tucked up?????

i have no sludgey oil. could it be the temp sendor

oil gets pretty hot on a blast (over 120) and i was wondering if my heat exchanger was knackered. where is is located and is it cheaper to change it like for like with a new part or get a mocal???

might be a bit of a bone question but where is the isv?? what does it look like and how do i get it apart to clean up/fix as am gettin same prob since havin new coil pack

went to the dealer and they were like oooo big job prob be hundreds, prob means chains have gone. b****cks, just had them done ta! thats cool, will get done when get head done

Quality eatthis! think i'm just gonna try and tune when funds allow. think that cams are first as head gask needs replacing at some point soon, then decat and manifold and need to sort a better cold air feed to the filter, but i'm not sure where best to locathe the tubing to the filter?? also my cam pos sensor is randomly faulty. vince said it will feel like losing 30 bhp, so i'm gonna blame that for the poddage runs!!!???!!!

My mate has a similar spec to mine but de cat and heat shield around induction, producing a little over 200 horses and the bugger got 14.7

Up at santa pod at the weekend and could not get quicker than 15.9 with terminal speed of 91 mph. bit gay. thinking bout gettin manifold and de cat pipe and cams. heard that the 6 branch won't give any more power, and then heard that it will. what do you reckon??

Dunno if this will help as an idea or is just al oad of rubbish, but is the standard fuel pump upto the task??? A friend of mine had fuelling probs when he had a nova sr with 2 litre engine conversion on 45's (kin quick and only with astra brakes!!! now he has vr6 rado) and had to use a facet red top pump and fuel pressure regulator to flow enough fuel.

thing is i do love it and have probably bought it twice over with all the bits i've had done to keep it running. just sometimes want a bit more comfort, reliability, power and rwd!! but then i get in the rado and it runs peachy and any other car is just boring. cam pos sensor needs changing tho (intermittent fault codes etc) and when its faulty it runs like a bag of sh**. is this a major job?? gettin the h/gasket done in the new year so might get cams?? more power!!!!!

10w 40 fully synth. can u get from the stealer etc. I'm gonna do the oil next week and want fully synth as opposed to synta silver. ta :D

do quantum do a 10w50 fully synth?

oilman recommended a 5w 40 fully synth for my car. v confusing???

but sureley you can get thicker fully synth??? 10w 40? won't fully synth resist the heat better???

Is it worth bunging in fully synthetic vw oil rather than the semi??
