  1. Have sent you a pm matey - check your inbox ;) Sorry to crash the thread!
  2. As per title, I'm after a BMC CDA with brackets too if poss, ready to fit. I'm assuming it's the same fitment for a 2.8 VR6? Thanks in advance!
  3. I'm the nearest I've ever been to buying a Rado VR. The final thing I need to get into my head is saleability. Back in 2002 and 2004 when I sold my old valvers I seem to remember finding it quite difficult to shift them, even though they were fairly priced. Are Corrados still difficult to sell? I know it's a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question, but I could do with having a rough idea in my head, if I can no longer afford having a weekend car plaything, I could sell it on without too much hassle. Any thoughts?
  4. I'm mid 30's and am toying with a VR I've spotted. My NCB is used on my daily. Anyone suggest which company to go for a policy on the Rado - I'll be looking at coilovers, SS exhaust but that's about it. I'm hoping to find one in the £200's, no higher ideally?
  5. Thanks, had spotted that one and it looks a corker. Too much for my budget unfortunately though - I'm looking for one as a weekend toy and would be de-bollocked by the fiancée if I told her I'd gone and bought one for that sort of dollar!
  6. Back to the top after a few month hiatus!

    Vr6

I was chasing Rob for this one, but you got in first! Congrats on the purchase, looks lovely for the money, and great to see she's staying complete :)
  8. Cheers for the info, every day's a school day!
  9. Love the fact you've stuck with the car all this time. Wish I could keep cars for such a duration! Looking stunning in red too.
  10. I like the black metallic VW produced the Corrado in, and have been looking at ages of them. Am I right in assuming that K reg is a non-metallic, and L reg onwards is metallic? Or have I assumed way too much?!
  11. Well, I was all geared up on going ahead with a VR advertised in this very parish, only to find someone else has agreed to roll up with the readies on Monday. Horrible feeling. Not much I can do about it though!
  12. Sorry cant help on this one, but zippy did you receive my pm?
  13. I'm sure this VR was mentioned on here a couple of weeks back for £2k ish on Pistonheads?! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-VR6-MULLBERRY-/300718397609?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item46043698a9 Talk about markup!
  14. ^ WHS (Terry Tibbs, talk to me!). 'Stang and Camaro tick boxes for me, but obviously voted for the Rado as I'm biased, have owned 2 in the past, and am on the verge of deciding to buy a VR6......( just don't tell the missus ;))
  15. Doesn't do a pile for me. Much prefer them looking more as nature intended. Also, is it just me or do rados with lowered rear number plates look more like Renault fuegos around the arse end?! (showing my age here!)
  16. Message sent with enquiry about the rado. Cheers
  17. Not holding out much hope.... H369 RHL red valver (been sorned for last 4 ish years when I've checked on dvla?) L832 MMV Bordeaux pearl valver (vanished from dvla maybe 12 months back?)
  18. Cheers for the info. Meant to add, it's for a VR6?
  19. As per the title, what sort of ££ would I be looking at? Engine out job I assume?
  20. Quick question... I've owned 2 Rados in the past but at that stage they were still newish. I've spotted a tidy looking VR, but the problem is the rear of the sills need some welding to tidy them up. The car still has MOT. Is it fairly common for this to happen, or is it a sign the car is likely to have grot appearing elsewhere? I wondered if it was something to do with sunroof drainage possibly? Cheers in advance 8-)
  21. Scary! Sometimes you have just gotta say thanks to the big man above, even if you aren't religious!
  22. Now I'm seriously considering buying a black or Storm grey Corrado VR6, I thought I'd dig out photos of my original valvers: 1990 1.8 valver H369RHL Totally loved this car and it really was everything I had hoped for, and more. It was gleaming red as well, not at all faded, although the photos don't show this well enough for my liking. Ladies loved it! Then, a couple of years later I came back to Rado ownership, and bought this 2 litre valver which never cut the mustard like the original. Whether it was the drab grey interior, or the fact it burnt oil I don't know, but I didn't feel the love for it, and it was gone within 6 months. Bizarrely, now looking at the photos, I think this one looks better than the red one? Is it because the colour has aged better, or is it just because I've gone off red? I think the colour was Bordeaux Pearl. Now, almost 10 years later I fancy a VR6. I've owned 2 Golf VR6's so have a fair idea of what I'm letting myself in for. Just need to find the right one now.....
  23. Don't know if anyone else has heard of one of these before, but it's a little bizarre!
  24. I'm on the lookout for a Corrado VR6 and I'm wondering how much rust I should expect to find on one? Some look ridiculously clean, but I assume have had paintwork, or is that the norm? Others seem to have rust bubbles appearing in lots of places....
  25. PM's sent to GlosterOx and MrBodyjangles! Will keep an eye on my inbox, cheers!
